So where did 9S store his memories? He clearly remembers everything since the moment they met even though the game makes you think he forgot everything after the intro (mainly due his early behavior). Seeing the title screen after you delete your save file it must be his pocket since that's the only way it makes a real sense (2B stored her memories in her sword in Route C, 9S stored it in his pocket)

Everywhere, probably. There's a simple gadget hidden in his room and you can only find it with a scanner. He was probably hiding shit all around the Bunker. Maybe inside his weapon too. Maybe even 153 allowed him to keep something as it's his faithful friend.
During route D ending he remembers the words he said to 2B at the very beginning of Factory mission, this alone confirms he was hiding shit somehow.

Someone needs to explain that room in the resistance camp to me. Why does it exists aside for a couple of goodies in there you already have a million from already? Especially considering outside is a save station anyway? Only in Route C does it become worthwhile since the savepoint doesn't work anymore but that can't be just it.
