The whole city area looks like utter shit. They obviously wanted to do more than what the console was capable of so in addition to using extremely low quality models and textures the water in that area is suitably low-resource as well. The water in other parts of the game looks much nicer and you know it, but I'm not going to say that excuses the fact that they fucked up the city.

Real talk growing up renting games the advancement of water technology in games always had my attention, the first one that really blew me away was baldurs gate dark alliance, and the second one improved upon it.

One might believe this if a bigger open world game hadn't also recently come out on the same console, which happened to look fantastic

Because when we had shit like GTA leaving blood footprints when you stepped in a puddle of blood, people were impressed because technology was just starting to allow that shit.

Now people already know the potential is there so they aren't impressed. Why put in the effort to impress the player for a few seconds when they won't give a shit?

If you were gonna fuck some chick you barely know or cared for and you could either take her out to dinner first and waste money, or just ask to head to her house " first " and end up fucking there, which would you rather do? The outcome where you waste money and get the same result anyways? Why?
