-The writing has gone downhill fast with DDD having almost unbearable dialogue.
-The gameplay from Osaka Team has been lacking and again it seems they are focusing on maximum flash and 1000 different systems with probably terrible balancint (just look at 0.2 with bad boss design and that was a small slice of systems available in KH3).
-Character models (especially disney) still look kinda bad. Thank god they improved from the early ones but they definately haven't nailed it. Game just looks plain worse (maybe uneven is the better word) than KH2 on PS4 minus some cool effects. Of course with a nice serving of frame pacing issues on top.
-Plot has way too much unneccessary baggage and they clearly want to tie the stupid mobile game more into it. Goodbye a simple, charming adventure when you have 1000 Xehanorts running around and Sora giving birth to people who shouldn't exist.
At this point all I can really be positive about is the music and maybe having a fun playtrough of buttonmasher in easy/standard difficulty. Mark my words after this nobody but the hardest of stans will want Nomura anywhere near this franchise again.
I want it to be good, but I feel it has higher chance of being shit. I think at this point I'm just looking for closure to KH.

I am worried about it sucking, but mostly for the following reasons: >realize how important it is to release it quicker >rush the game out >becomes BBS 2 >dumb down gameplay to appeal to newbies >empty worlds, barely any new characters outside Disney >doesn't have the balls to end the Xehanort saga completely

My biggest hope of KH3 is that we will be rid of all the baggage and hopefully SE will outsource the next one to Platinum or something and have somebody else than Nomura make up the basic story for it. Doesn't have to be canon, I just want another good game with a charming story that knows how to use the Disney IP properly.

No Kingdom Hearts game can capture the magic and glory of the first one because it came out when you were 15 years younger and was released out of nowhere.... But I do feel like an optimist that SE and the Oskake team know exactly what they are doing given the fact their is 15 years of developing experience on the franchise to drawn from. In the gameplay thats been shown thus far, it looks like a more elaborate and seamless Birth By Sleep mixed in with the ariel gymanstics of DDD. The other stuff like the amusement park rides seems like it can be polished fluff, but i honestly think it just adds on to the insanity of the game regarldess.
My only gripe is the fact that Haley Joel Osment doesnt sound too good as Sora these days. Its sounds as if Sora has been smoking and drinking whiskey for the last 10 years in the span of a few months. If only they can use a voice modulator too tune his voice over work to sounding like Sora did in 2 then i'll be have no gripes with it, but until then i'll just groan everytime Sora speaks in the new game if they havent implemented dual Japanese audio for it. I actually dont mind listening to Donald Duck speaking Japanese

of course it's gonna suck there's no way it will deliver on the hype that it's built up for 10 years especially when the games after 2 have not been on par too many bad decisions were made and it showed greatly in the 2.8 collection where it was the worst of the three collections But I'm still getting it because I need closure for this shit series I've stuck with for so many years
