How to play a Pokemon game:

How to play a Pokemon game:

>Pick a water starter
>Fight every battle with your starter
>Don't bother catching any other pokemon except for HM slaving
>Fight first gym leader and spam water attacks because he probably has rock pokemon
>Fight trainers who all have the same exact fucking pokemon until you are double their level
>By now your starter is so ungodly powerful that even super effective attacks barely do any damage
>One hit every Pokemon you fight
>Dump all your money into healing items before Elite 4
>Blow through them with your overleveled starter
>Literally zero real difficulty or skill needed throughout the entire game
>Rinse and repeat for 7 generations

Why the fuck do people like this series again?

>using healing items
casual detected

>HM slaving
>In SM
Why talk about games you haven't played?

>>Don't bother catching any other pokemon except for HM

What is an HM?

:^)

Pokemon games are really relaxing if you focus on catching and training up new Pokemon to see what they evolve into.

>implying you even have to pick Water

And not everyone is autistic and has to play video games in the easiest possible way

Oh no, I used a feature that was intentionally placed in the game to my advantage! I bet you have to use the run button in Super Mario Bros, you fucking casual.

yeah, if you use no healing items, no exp share, and release every pokemon that faints, it's a really hardcore game!!

>Picks the easiest route to beat the game, bitches about how easy the game is
You do realize that there are many, many and you can beat the game, some being harder than others without creating any artificial difficulty right?

Yeah, pokemon does tend to lose its charm when you know the easiest winning strategy that works in every game.

Thats why there are hardmode pokemon romhacks

>He hasn't played SM

Good thing they got rid of HM slaving so now you can literally beat the entire game with just your starter pokemon. Great fix, right guys?

I'll pay you if you stream yourself beating SM using only your starter because that's something I'd really like to see.

Crasher Wake was a complete bastard to beat in D/P because I picked a water starter and there were few if any electric pokemon by that point.

>>Pick a water starter

Stopped reading there

You can pick any starter and still have the same result but picking a water starter makes the ball get rolling faster because the first gym leader is always weak to it

I didn't realize flying type was weak to Water

as if you didnt have a luxray at that point

Grass is generally best unless you're playing gen 2. Grass is bulky and defensive generally, you can steamroll the first few gyms, and your main counters (fire and psychic for dual-types) don't generally come until later on in the game by which time your level makes types meaningless.

Do it faggot. Pick the water one and see how you fare against raichu.

>It's a Hau's Raichu sweeps the party episode

>implying he just doesn't take the hit and kill raichu

>>It's a Hau's Raichu sweeps the party episode
>Had just swapped to a weaker team of pokes I wanted to level up and evolve
>Accidentally trigger the battle with Hau by travelling to next island.

SM is one of the few Pokemon games you can't usually solo with just your starter

>literally gimping yourself isn't artificial difficulty

>pick fire starter
>get wrecked by Wishiwashi
IT'S NOR FAIR

dunno i like just having a different party of monster i really loved gen 5 cause i got to make a really awesome bug team

>game about collecting monsters
>don't collect monsters
WOOOOO

>beat the entire game with your starter pokemon
>pick water type
>pic related happens
