I have a question: where are all the uses for the awoken dream nail? I already used it to gain entrance to the White Palace and to hit the face of the giant bug that gives you the shade cloak in The Abyss. Am I missing anywhere major?

It gives you that same shielded animation the thing in the palace ruins from ancient basin does. This is what happens you do hit it with with the awakened one. Are there any other spots like this?

I only watched SBH video about it. 2bh there is a small chance I would have liked it, but probably not.
Out of the ones that have come out recently, I'd put it behind Axiom Verge and above AM2R, but otherwise it's one of the better ones I've played. There is a lot of superfluous bullshit though. Especially for a game that is so clearly using Super Metroid as its main source of inspiration.
If you equip the kingsoul and goto the bottom of the abyss, in the big room you can unlock another small area where you use the dream nail, it is required to 100% besides that everything else you use it on is just lore

No. It was mostly the story. Axiom Verge was something relatively new, whereas HK is basically the story of one game merged with the gameplay of another. I'll agree that AV is behind both of those games in gameplay.

I don't know, I can't remember any bullshit except surprise bosses, but they aren't that hard. The only thing I didn't like about it is the same metroid fights everywhere, little variety. Levels were great though.

There is supposed to be a DLC making pic related a playable character. Apparently that glyph in the secret room in weaver's den behind all the broken walls supports this heavily, but I don't really see how.
