In your opinion, who are the most legitimately menacing/threatening enemies in vidya? The ones that make you think you're completely fucked whenever they appear. Bonus points if they're not too godly powerful but intimidating nonetheless

I think we can all admit this was kino.

Senator Armstrong

>throw volleyball at sin
>he dies

Truly a menacing foe.

The larger fuckers from subnautica spook the spaghetti out of me

...

Hey, I mean it might work if the blitzball was a landmine

All the shit he destroyed before anyone thought to do that tho

Bad Breath

...

>whole party
>confuse
>darkness
>silence
>poison
>Sleep

...

I hate these fucking asshole.

But sadly he was the prologue level boss so he's a total pussy.

I fucking love Phalanx

should i play through ff10 after i get done with 9?

...

...

I'd recommend taking a break first and playing an action game or something after FFIX, but yes

I seriously cannot play this game more than 20 min at once

>final room you make it its bitch after it steam rolls your pikmin
This was honestly one of the most satisfying moments I've ever had. It's like punching that one rival you've always wanted to punch for being so punchable.

I'll see your undead ghost whale and raise you

>Last round of the arena and this fucker spawns

...

Nemesis

lol

>jump engaged
>launch in 10, 9, 8....

The ones that have no purpose.
Most enemies are somewhat evil and want youto see dead but others, they just are. There motives are pure because they never go and seek you out, they arent really enemies but the situation demands them to be, be it their instincts, some magical force whatever. This foreign control is what gives me the chils.

The enemies in Minecraft, for some reason, always feel really intimidating. When I'm exploring a mine, and I see some creeper or zombie, it's pretty unnerving. I know they are not very strong, but it's unnerving nonetheless.

They're not bad once you realize how easy it is to kill them but fuck if I didn't shit myself a little every time I heard that vrrrrrvrrrr and look over to see these fuckers charging at me.

The hand monsters in Dark Souls 3. I dont know why but I really dont want to fight those things. They just look so disgusting.

>go inside Gelnika
>this motherfucker is casually waiting for me outside
>quickest resurface of your life
Man, this part was the only thing I couldn't handle as a kid.

This guy and his intense theme will ruin any hunter's day

...

Raiders expression when he snatches his sword and snaps it summed up my reaction the first time I faced him.

This motherfucker right here. Haven't spent that much time on a boss since I was a little kid.

Devil-jho is pretty easy desu :/
I always found 2nd gen Furious Rajang to be the scariest monster to face

Chain mimic w summon knights of the round. Sit and watch 20 minutes of animations.

I replayed it recently it it is literally a hallway simulator. Cinematics and hallways fucking everywhere. Now that wouldn't necessarily be bad but its so obvious and the hallways so short half the time it really detracts from the game. The sphere grid is also either pointless if you use the basic one or absolutely fucking busted if you use the advanced one. I was extremely disappointed with it.

If you can get over the shity game play its actually a pretty fair story with a fun bit of lore that will keep you entertained for a while.

...

>walking along trying to make your last escape
>then THAT music plays
>proceed to shit bricks and panic like fuck every single time you play

The best monster in any RE.

>tfw was an adult when WW came out
>tfw will never be able to comprehend any of the terror the goofy as fuck game instilled in the younger denizens of Sup Forums

>le mass effect is shit meme

this happens: youtube.com/watch?v=JZ9Q63wbb10

then PIC happens

I got lucky and ended up with in a room with a bunch of savvy players on my first fight against it

got the bandanna

i got unlucky and was force to do the boss alone with no good equipement.

It took me 30 tries.

god, the HD remake looks so shitty

...

Phalanx wasn't menacing so much as majestic, since it never actually attacks you.

Argus, Basaran and Malus are the most menacing, both intimidating looking and they actually try to kill you.

France in EU4.

That Morale bonus is Bullshit.

Don't know them by name but I think the sand worm one was honestly the most intimidating
