NIOH THREAD

Let's talk about Nioh.

What do you guys think about the game?
Thoughts on the combat?
Favorite weapon and stance?
Favorite armor?
Favorite boss?

The combat is fun as fuck. It seems that it has a pretty high sealing.
I finally managed to beat the first boss after countless tries thanks to Sup Forums's advises from the thread yesterday. The spin attack was bullshit though.
Also is there a reason why the game gave me gold armor?

>sealing

>Sealing

It was better before they nerfed it.

>being this autistic
*ceiling
Are you happy now?

The devs gave all the players gold armor to celebrate 1 million sales. Also, pretty hyped for the DLC not sure about PvP though.

Its kinda sad that the best bosses are the first 2 I'm only up to spiderfu, no spoiler pls

>sealing

Major flaws they should improve for the sequel.

-dark souls 1 interconnected world
-more enemy variety
-more boss variety
-less reliance on RNG
-new weapon types

there perfect game

Also, you shouldn't be able to block 360ยบ

Implying the best boss fight isn't the duel on the hill

Game was fun, story was shit

Combat stopped being rewarding after you mastered it

Favorite weapon is Katana, low stance

Don't give a shit about armor

The best boss is the duel with that warlord on the hill. That was a true git gud boss fight

Fuck the bats.

The world map was pretty decent. It made it easier to rebattle bosses and made NG+ more flexible, also gave a sense of commitment once you entered a mission even though you're going to get tons of branches through the game.
I don't mind bosses reappearing as sub-bosses in main mission or as bosses in sub-missions.
Agree on the other points.

This is still a game?

You forgot one: more sexy flintlock flips when you switch to the rifle

Very good game, it just needs less Diabloish lootshit, and way, way more enemy variety to be great.

>revenants only drop Divine +0 gear
Why.
They could at least have made them drop +1, since then you can actually use them to some extent as material.

The first two bosses are the worst. Then it gets easier as you gain abilities especially onmyo.

How could you forget the biggest one?
>can't play as a cute girl, even through transformation

>yuki-onna
>regions 5 and 6
People say those two are the best because they really help you learn the combat. Getting good at hino-enma really prepares you for the whole game, but there are plenty of good bosses.

Warrior of the West and Yuki Onna are the only hard bosses.
Prove me wrong.

Yuki-onna was the final redpill in getting good. After that boss I rarely take hits. What didn't help was that I was a heavy armorfag before the fight, and afterwards I just wore superlight armor. Haven't looked back since.

>-dark souls 1 interconnected world
I'm as much a Fromdrone as the next guy, but there's honestly nothing wrong with hub, mission based worlds

Everything else I agree with

How long have you been farming exactly? Because that's definitely not the case

The revenants drop the exact same gear as the original drop occurred for the player in question, not accounting for any modifications such as stat rerolls, upgrades, transmogs etc.

If the guy had a +3 divine drop, the revenant will drop that same +3 divine, every single time you summon it, as he just got it as a random drop

I've only played for 210 hours but as far as I know, the max divine level you can get from missions is +5, from there you need to keep combining

>warrior of the west
on ng+ maybe. id replace him with either mothman or mitsunari

>Also is there a reason why the game gave me gold armor?
Yes, that was included free for everyone as the game sold 1 million copies

...

it's literally a meme game, taylor made for reddit

Overrated. Diablo loot is cancer.

>Start that side mission where I must "honrbaul duel" in the beginning.
>First thing I do is pull out a gun and shoot him in the head with a surprise attack
>down on the ground recovery from, uh, a bullet to the head
>drop that giant ass ninjutsu bomb on him then just run around will keep poise and fire applied

And after that I just ran through a bunch of crap real quick because invisibility ninjutsu is OP.

I did think It was cool that the spider enemies could detect me when I was invisible and silent when I walked over their webs though.

...

Just bought a ps4
Should I buy this?

I can understand Mitsunari, but Otani was really easy for me. His attacks have no range sideways and his tracking during his combos is shit. Unless you stand directly in front of him then he can't do much.

Been farming on the bridge and on the ginchiyo level. Never seen a drop above 150.
I have looked around online and it seems that the consensus is that revenants can't drop above 150 no matter what +# they actually have, but if you somehow have managed it then do share.

150 is the max item level (if you're not counting the bugged level 350 ones), the divine item level does not increase if you get it to +1, +2 etc. it stays at 150, just gets better stats

At some point my ninjutsu got too overpowered and I was throwing shurikens and kunai at lategame bosses and melting them.

Funny how this was supposed to kill Dark Souls yet it was forgotten faster than Remember Me.

Yes.

I know that.
What I'm saying is that it's annoying that they can't drop 150+1 and up.

>Funny how this was supposed to kill Dark Souls
It wasn't, though

Unless you're referring to threads on Sup Forums, in that case well memed my friend

> sealing

Is this more like Onimusha or Dark Souls?

Both

>taylor made
Dumb brainlet
