It's an echo chamber. If you're looking for people that all think the same way and just want affirmation of those beliefs, then that's neogaf. If you don't agree with their opinions, they will ban you. It's where intelligent discussion has died.

Mods everywhere are shit.

It's a white supremacist (human) organization.

Because mods can ban you for whatever they want. There's no proper set of codified rules that you can follow to avoid being banned.

Mod doesn't like you? Banned.
Say something a mod doesn't agree with? Banned.
Say something mods never decided to write down as a rule, but consider ban-able offense (like say "PC gaming master-race")? Banned.
Not the correct skin color when talking about sensitive topics? Banned.

The end result is a chilling and silencing effect that breeds a lack of critical thought across the board, mods included, resulting in parroting and group think, leading to bizarre events like gaf being the number 3 referrer to Hilary Clinton's website during the us election.

It's generally a good place to get news since they compile that shit at the beginning of a topic and you don't need an account to see it or even have to look at the cancerous posts beneath it.

Because they can't have anything remotely reflecting bad about the site and so freedom of speech is censored pretty hard.

It's self serving and nothing more. Nobody should be using the website in this day and age if you want your opinions or expressions to be taken notice of. There is very little influence or ripples to be made in light of such moderation.

It makes me feel better about myself knowing I'm not as crazy as them.

Even an innocent comment on how Horizon's sales aren't that amazing considering the apparently massive install base of the PS4 makes GAFers act like their mother was raped and murdered.

Basically the 360 styling on the PS3 for years in terms of exclusives or better multi-plats or better sales in the west lead to a fucking volcano of Sony fanboy asspain. There were unironic "Sony Defense Force" avatars, sites that reviewed PS3 exclusives less than adoringly were all accused of being paid off by MS and that they HAD to be wrong.

Fast forward to the PS4 era and these butthurt fantards see this as some righteous payback that they need to spray liquid shit all over the place to crow in triumph.
