Yea boy, I sure do love how every enemy has a hitscan weapon, the base movement is slow, sprinting makes you stop shooting, isn't fast enough to avoid hitscan damage, reloading slowing the pace of combat, unskippable cutscenes that hide loading screens, and setpieces up the ass because the gameplay is too shallow to carry the entire thing. People actually think this Aim down sights shit was better than Doom??

I don't think anyone argued that. Thing is though, Wolfenstein actually having big maps, armor and healt pickups and barely any regnerating health made it stand out, than DOOM came two years later and actually made it good.

Still like the new Wolfenstein though, even if it is a bit frustrating sometimes.

You know it's pretty interesting how characters like Ranger and Doomguy who are barely even characters are way more cooler and interesting than heaps of other vidya characters.

Wolfenstein TNO was definitely one of the best modern shooters that follow that design

you're going to regret every bethesda developed game, they're merely publishing quake though

Because they're normal dudes (at least before the whole holy-intervention Doomguy thing). Doomguy got sent to space for punching a superior and fought his way out of fucking Hell, then went back in to kick more ass once he realized no one else was gonna do it. Ranger took a nosedive into the realms of the Outer Gods, went mano-y-abomo with Shub fucking Niggurath with some clearance sale leftovers from Home Depot, "won," and still went mad from the shit he experienced.

They're the quintessential "space marine in space" (Ranger is even bald now!) but without the special snowflake backstory.
