To american players, graphics are more important than story

Why are american players such peasants?

Too busy winning world wars

Because a piece of plastic costs more than 2000% what it's worth and people want it to at least feel like it deserves that money.

>67%+65%
stopped reading there

Gameplay > Music > Graphics > Story

so those old snooty AMERICANS are at it again, huh...

This is why video games can never be art.

Were there more questions than just these six?

fuck off faggot, at absolute worse that chart implies 12% of the respondents place graphics over story.

These.
Are you stupid, OP?

These percentages are all over the place

I guarentee you the majority of those votes are from children.

This x 1000

The actual gameplay of the game is by far the most important factor that goes into the quality of a game.

>graphics more important
>still playing on a console

t. only plays nintendo games

It's because people consider multiple factors before buying a game

I'd swap story and graphics personally. Either way, they're both firmly below gameplay and music.

Yes that is the case, which means OP is a brain dead moron for saying Americans place graphics above all else while posting that image.

>there are people out there right now that value graphics and story over well crafted gameplay

this is the correct opinion

if I want a story I would read a book

"Fun gameplay" isn't on there so the survey is shit anyways. I'd probably pick graphics too if those are the options given to me.

Is it surprising to learn that if someone thinks a game looks like shit, they won't buy it? How much information do you think the average consumer gathers about a game before making a purchase decision?

>Not a single one for just "gameplay"

Putin pls nook already

Gameplay > Graphics > rest doesn't matter because i don't play singleplayer games because they are inherently easy because the human brain is more advanced than a computer ever will be.

It depends on the game type. Story doesn't really matter for a FPS or RTS, but for an RPG or maybe Adventure, a bad story can ruin the game.

Price >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I can't believe people are taking this bait. People on this board are truly retarded.

>what is The Witcher 1/2/3 for 100, Alex?

Gameplay>Music>Story>Graphics
you wont want to play a game at all if the gameplay is bad.
The story and music are pretty much equal in their importance for world building and setting a mood. But music is more important considering a couple decades ago most games didn't need a story at all to be fun.
Graphics are not important at all. Does having great graphics help? Yes. Does it make the game look more beautiful? Sure. But a game doesn't need good graphics at all.

But you don't, only play your BING BING WAHOO 1UP games.

Because the latest generation can't read and skip cutscenes.

gameplay > animations > graphics > music > story

Fuck off, i sometimes turn off the music (mainly, in stealth scenarios, to be sure i'm really not making noise). Music is cool and all, but not that important.
