I think he means a huge learning curve on how to set up, where to get the assets you need, how to work with or around currency, how to use complex animations, I mean none of this stuff is that simple. You have to do research and often it's probably terribly written by people who can't comprehend that a new person will know absolutely nothing when starting out.

You're talking about being a creator. Then yeah you have to watch the tutorials. Most players don't bother being creators. They just buy pre-made shit and put it together in their own sims. While others will just rent property that's pre-built and add decorations. That's why the premium accounts are so successful because LL has already built 3 communities for people with their own house.

Yes, you could easily do just this especially with a lil roleplay. Or just start claiming there was an election and only a few voted so you became mayor. At the same time there are a number of city sims that have elections and whatnot.

And there are lots of ways to make money in game. Some require effort and others just let you put your character somewhere and idle out. One of the popular non-sexual ways is SL fishing.

Sex camping has always been around in some form or another, but they were never ever profitable. You'd get paid like 1 linden every 30 minutes and that's it. For some fucking reason these sims popped up over night and people are dumping hundreds of thousands of lindens to people who are afk. I think the first time I saw the trend was a furry sim that was specifically advertised for poseball fucking without erp or socializing with each other. I'm guessing a lot of people are just tired of flirting with stuck up cunts (who are probably males) who won't give them the time a day. Tossing money at a few afk avatars after a good fap makes more sense in the grand scheme of things.

4 has better customization and costumes, 3 has better enviornment and is more of a Saint's Row game than IV is. Plus 3 has the Genki girls and Zimos which are always nice.

3 removed a bunch of stuff from 2, and then added a bunch of BS. It feels like they tried so hard to be wacky and funny, but it all just falls flat. 4 doesn't really have any restraints though. It just gives you super powers and gives you a place to go crazy in. You get to return to parts of Saints Row 1 and 2, which is some nice nostalgia. Almost everything that was in 3 is in 4, but they added additional stuff too.

I like 4 better buy man do I miss having an actual city for a sandbox instead of a matrix simulation.
