Im pretty sure that year crash wasn't even a blip on people's radar.

This, it only sold 7 million copies and launched biggest franchise on ps1.

You know that feeling where a game is about to come out and your are basically suffering physically while you wait?

I feel that way about the trilogy. Just come out already, I want to play it.

And announce a Spyro and Ape Escape ones while we are at it.

True, though pokemon was JP only in 96.

Crash bandicoot ? more like Trash bandicoot!

AMARIGHT GUYZ?

no

>Spyro and Ape Escape series remakes

These would probably be enough to convert me.

What did you guys think of the Gameboy Advance Crash games?

Why do all these furry mascot characters have green eyes?

I only played the one in your post. It's been forever but I remember liking it.

it's 2017 user

>green compliments blue
>it also compliments orange
That's why.

lol ok there buddy

Im just so happy Tiny Tiger has some love again

Face isn't exactly right and it's bothering me

is it because the original has a more angular smile, stretched upper teeth, the lack of a defined cheek, and bigger irises that are looking at you?

The first one was great, but I never like the fact that it was just a loose "port" of Crash 3 Warped, instead of being it's own brand-new game (which is what I was expecting). All the worlds/stages/hub/abilities and music were copied over from Crash 3, but despite that, it was still fun.

The sequel however (Crash 2 N-Tranced) on the GBA was horrible. It was just a carbon-copy/reskin of the first GBA game, with little changes. The story was weak, the hub was difficult to navigate, the music was jarring, the isometric "roller" stages were boring. Just all wrong.

Big TNT boxes were in the original...

>gif
reeeeeeeee

...

How are they different from the original?

>forward jumps
fuck that shit

It's ok, but I wasn't exactly interested enough to finish it. Worth checking out if you're a fan of the series but I wouldn't go too far just to find a cartridge.
Not him but the subtle change actually feels kinda obvious. The old games had Crash portrayed as this 90s-crazy-weird but also maybe sorta cool and certainly confident mascot character.
I get the vibe they focused more on just the wacky which was also what the later sequels went with because they couldn't quite capture that 90s mascot vibe.
I wouldn't expect them to and it's not necessarily important, but yeah it's there. This sort of character design back then wasn't popular with just taking a cartoony character and having them make a goofy face.

6.8 million is a big number beddy.

>Crash
>confident
Certainly not in 1. He was scared shitless most of the game.

Not by a lot. I guess he's missing the comically big font though.
That's what the gestures he does imply though, not all of them mind you. Like with how he jumps out of the sand at the beginning, does THE EYES at the beginning of all the ride stages, yells and poses if you get all the boxes or every time you beat a boss and does the happy jump if you finish a stage without dying. It's a really time-specific archetype with how he acts all tough and then gets scared when shit could start going south. And it was a good thing because it's something the players can sorta relate to, they want to win the game but especially all the young players to who it was directed to certainly died a lot trying.

me

>how he jumps out of the sand at the beginning
>yells and poses if you get all the boxes or every time you beat a boss and does the happy jump if you finish a stage without dying
None of those have anything to do with confidence. The first is likely getting the sand out of his fur while the second two are satisfaction and mostly relief.

Did crash from the future build all the levels to kill himself?

I didn't know crash had multiplayer.

You are wrong. Crash was very popular during the PS1 era, even over Mario 64 (regardless of which game is better and more relevant to the industry as a whole, Crash was more popular during that time).

Because piracy. He was the PS1 mascot, de facto.

Could it be Bowser? From other video game?

He looks at the camera and poses. The trope is about a comical hero at least trying to look cool doing whatever they do. They're not supposed to be only crazy or awkward or wimp and that wouldn't really fit because the character's actually kinda powerful.
Not like there's that much characterization anyways, but there is a little bit of Sonic in there as well.

They have the assets for CTR already. Hoping they don't forget that easy cash cow.

best render

better than twinsanity

Is Mark Hamill voicing these again?
