Xyz would be fine in DL if they don't add too many fucking rank 4. It'd probably be a bunch of simple/shit Xyzs like Giga Brilliant.
DL also already uses a bunch of cards from past DM and even GX, so it's not even classic Yugioh, it just uses a bunch of shit cards, a lot of which happen to be from the DM era.

Xyz are just 2 or more monsters stacked ontop of each other.
Pendulum is summoning a whole bunch of monsters in one turn. It's not as good as you think it is.

Yes, same as with any extra deck summoning type. You can only summon them to the Extra Zone or Linked Zones.

With scales 2 and 3 you can't pendulum summon. You summon monsters whose levels are strictly between the scales. So 3 to 5 would allow you to summon Level 4 monsters.

Correct. Bear in mind Pendulum summoned monsters from the hand do not count as Extra Deck summons.

The extra deck is still strong. Anyone who thinks extra deck spam is dead needs to play the game more. You just have to incorporate Links into your usual strategies, or be more selective in your Extra Deck summons. Keep in mind theres no reason you can't use your one extra deck monster to summon another in that same zone that turn. There will also eventually be better generic Link monsters down the line.

Extra deck monsters in the graveyard still go to the main monster zone when summoned back. Plus Links are splashable as fuck and Konami wants you to BUY NEW CARDS.

Nigger you have played a little over 5 matches so far if you started at Silver 1. If you started from the bottom you can't fucking complain about people being bad because the good players all reset to Silver 1 each season. What are you talking about? That'll depend on the skills, our pretty boy already started with a skill that will allow him to get out of any situation no matter how dire by popping monsters at will, and our main villains are stabilished to be able to have OP skills that aren't standard due to HACKING powers or some shit, so the sky is the limits for the ammounts of asspull there may be in the future
...Still won't be nowhere near action cards though... probably... hopefully

Just watched that movie last night and it was so good. But what in asking, is are they viable decks in the meta or are they just kind of there

Well, yeah. But it SEEMS like they're focusing on DM and more basic cards first (there are probably exceptions, e.g. they have des kangaroo which I'm sure is from gx). The next logical step would be to go to GX, make a Jaden event, start adding fusions etc. This also lets them farm the game for much longer than if they added the op cards of the latest gen from the start and then there is no incentive to visit earlier gens.

Don't waste your keys until you can get 7-8k nearly every time, otherwise you'll regret it later.

Kaiba is definitely the hardest to farm, and takes a specialized deck.
