I like the role-shared action system but it has a problem. It seems to be trying to offer players a choice of what abilities to take, but some of the abilities are 100% mandatory, and not even from an optimization point of view. Just from a "can clear content" point of view.
Healers HAVE to take Esuna and Lucid Dream, and probably Swiftcast too. On top of that most of them are probably going to want to take Protect and Affection (assuming it's just divine seal like the icon suggests). Which doesn't even leave room for Cleric Stance, E4E or Rescue. I guess they really want you to switch stuff out based on the fight.

I was really looking forward to using rescue, too.
I just want some people to play this game with, everyone I played with has quit. As cool as all the changes look, this game's content just isn't sustainable for a solo player to find entertainment in for very long.

Because its shit. Same with the WM stuff. Anything with the slightest bit of inconvenience must be changed for the shitters. Already with the cross class actions, we're seeing any sort of specialized class (NIN) get phased out and soon in 5.0 the only real difference between roles will be how easy it is for them to do the same dps as x shitter.
Well the reason why I pose the question like that, is because maim applied the debuff, but didn't show it with the maim icon. It was just the generic slashing resist down debuff. So hopefully that's a thing.
Why would I be glad the skill ceiling of my job got way lower now? Healbots still won't DPS but now I don't even get to stance dance. The only redeeming factor is how finicky getting off CS was, but they could have fixed that instead of completely removing it.

Don't healer damage abilities work off their primary stat now anyway instead of the stat swap that existed in cleric stance? It's a slight DPS nerf (maybe) but you'll still be doing better than shitters who stand around doing fuck all.

Why would a SCH need Lucid Dream when they don't generate a whole lot of enmity and Aetherflow+ED provide them with all the mana they want unless they fuck up and misplan?

Even hitting the boss with my book made me better than a heal shitter. I don't care if it was a nerf or buff to the job's DPS.
Not only is it a straight up casualization of the job, it is an unneeded one. It only damages those who wanted to play a difficult job to optimize. It makes no difference to heal shitters. That is what upsets me.

Cleric stance was trash because it was always buggy.

I get it, it added an extra dynamic to DPS that made you think. Except most people don't like to think. The way they look at it is they can keep WHM doing the same optimal thing (which is DPS and Heal) while making it easier for casuals to do so.
From SE's point of view, its a win win. I think this may allow SE to make content require Healer DPS (as they have said it just allowed you to make up for lower ilvl) because now "everyone" can do it with easy. Kind of the theme with the xpac changes, make everything more accessible. Just hope it can translate into a bit harder content.
Plus you can do the same for Decimate if you need the AoE. So much AoE damage.

I'd for that to happen, but I wouldn't count on it. Yoshi did mention in some live letter he liked the idea of trial challenge runs (such as lower ilvl sync).

Xiv is the only game to actually make my computer breath for air.
WAR still has IB, it shares a key with Fell Cleave now. We're directly upgrading Foresight to Rampart. Raidwide mitigation will be on one of the skills not shown. I get to Fell Cleave a lot more since Path basically generates 2 stacks instead of 1.
More focus on actual tank gear.

Losing storms path is big but it doesnt hurt that bad when you remember NO ONE has a path equivalent since DRK lost reprisal too.
