I've got one of these bad boys
WHHHHHHHHIIIIIIIIIRRRRRRRTT
It's not a ps4
10/10 Fan
Would apply Thermal Paste to.
thanks bro
>put 2 hyper 212 evos next to each other
>sell it for 3 times the price
noctuafags will defend this
>people spend hundreds on water cooler when this perfection exists
My only gripe is the color scheme, like beige and brown? Really?
thats a heavy fidget spinner
Doesnt do much of a better job than a basic 212 evo which costs 3 times less.
>hundreds
Self contained water cooling systems are
i bet you say that to all the HSFs
>psh nothing personel kid
The point of making the cooler that large is so that the fans can spin slowly and not make that kind of noise, anonymous
>You have been visited by Fan-Chan of Cool Coolers
>Your PC will be cool during the Summer season only if you reply GANBATE FAN-CHAN to this post
This thing blocks 2 of my ram slots... looking at the liquid cooling ones.
I have this fan. It is pretty cool.

When is *action* posting going to be banned
Graphics card and CPU are water cooled, motherboard is not. Coincidence?
this board is fucking dead since new video games suck, just roll with it
do you live on mercury or some shit nigga
>Ram is 666 Mhz
>tfw no watercooled Front I/O Panel
Why live?
Holy crap, it's like he's got two PS4s in the room. Absolute madman.
What do you fucks use to clean out the fans of dust so easily
>He bought an expensive overkill air cooler
*laughing 212 Evos*
my cum
reverse vacuum cleaner
>2017
>using a fanlet
Compressed air. You can get a can for like $5. I used it to clean out my computer yesterday.
>wasting money on a leafblower
>any year
My 4690k at 4.4ghz with a hyper 212 evo idles at those same temps
non-pc fag. What's the point of buying these super giant heatsinks? Don't they mess up your motherboard?
I love the NH-D14, big enough to cool well but not so big it can't fit in mATX cases.
>everyone always recommends the d15
>nobody ever recognizes the glory of the c14
It got my i5 to 5.0GHz, so I love the fucker.
>non-pc fag
Big can*
You can get smaller cans for like $1 off Amazon
Do you live in a cold place? Mine would idle at those temps WITH the 212 evo. I never understood why people shill that piece of shit.
I wish it wasn't such an eyesore.
>i5
Yes, but can you do the same iwht a i7 5280k or the 8 core version of it?
What?
>Don't they mess up your motherboard?
how would they do that
nope. Live in the desert. Just have to know how to apply thermal paste correctly
I'm not idling.
Aren't these giant heatsinks heavy af?
I do know. Not only that, but I used some fucking expensive Liquid Ultra thermal paste, applied by the book following their method. There's really no explanation.
Give me $300 an i'll find out. until then my sandy bridge will do.
>tfw you accidentally buy $50 server fans to cool your PC
it sounded like there was a turbine in my room for about a week b4 i realized i could change the RPM with some software.
i should have gotten the noctua, ended up getting a 212 evo. Currently Ivy Bridge i5 3750k to 4.7ghz at 1.4v at max load.
Anyone else with an i5 on air? what are you guys overclocking at?
Yeah their color choice really confused me. Real nice fans though, added 3 of theirs to my case.
More surface area=better cooling. How would they mess up the mobo anyway
My case's intake fans are like that because my motherboard only has a fan controller on one of its ports and its the one that's in the back. I need to get like a fan hub or some shit so I can plug everything into it.
They are heavy as fuck, they probably won't cause damage sitting in one spot. But really fucking nervous if you're driving around or shipping them.
Noctua is trying to be the Ferrari of case fans, they know they're the best so they want their fans to be easily identifiable. They make black ones though, even though it'd cost you $50 to replace them.
The things are like 90% aluminum, even the largest ones weigh less than your average graphics card.
hi
Oh shit, it's like I'm really in 2010
industry level fan

4690k at 4.4ghz. Never goes above 60C under full load with a 212 evo. I idle at around 40C but I could probably bring that down if I allow my cpu to dynamically lower clocks when I'm just browsing the web and stuff. Also my pc is under my table so that probably contributes to the temps.
dont get dust into your pc in the first place, use a proper pc case like the silverstone ft02
hadnt have to clean my pc for 6 years, only removing its dust filters every 8 months and dust them off.
i think that's when i built my PC
212evo
2500k
original GPU was a 6870 upgraded to a 780
It does a better job of cooling higher TDP chips under load than the EVO.
Idle temps don't mean nearly as much as people make them out to. Higher thermal mass means a longer time until saturation and less time to regain idle equilibrium.
Why did you buy a cooler that blocks your DIMMs?
pshhh... step aside
Yeah you can get a good double fan AIO for like $95USD these days. Shit will be a massive upgrade if you're on a stock cooler or air cooler, though I hear that AMD's new stock coolers are on EVO 212 level.
>wires not filling the empty spaces
delete this
I got one and they are amazing but why the weird color scheme?
Dust filters motherfucker, not even my cat can penetrate my case
They're not. The 212 still cools significantly better under load.
get outta here, kid
OP's a pretty cool guy.
Are you me? I had literally the exact same stuff except I upgraded to a GTX 670 instead of a 780. I've replaced everything except the 670 since then, and I can't wait to replace it with a Vega card, it sags like a motherfucker.
Hey there, what's going on corelets?
out of my way, user.
Better cooled components will last longer, the other major reason is overclocking potential. High temps are the major roadblock when it comes to overclocking which is why people doing serious overclocks run liquid cooling.
>Don't they mess up your motherboard?
Not not at all thats just silly they don't weight enough to cause your entire mobo to flex to the point you damage the PCB.
>Fell for the closed loop meme.
it's summer and the nights are at 22ºC but god damn.
I have this card, read that it was loud but bearable. Never been lied to harder in my life. Sounds like a plane is flying through the room.
if it only performed as well as the d15, because this is the sexiest motherfucker around...
wut?
is this a hotel room?
get a case with vertical motherboard mount, makes the card hang down on its mounting plate, no more sag, plus heat convection supports cooling..
Any blower style fan is going to be loud as fuck. You only buy them if you have no plans to overclock or, ironically, if you plan to do serious overclocking because they tend to only make watercooling back plates for the reference cards.
Reminder that you're paying for the fans on every Noctua product you buy, or any other Euro-designed $100 box of metal, and absolutely any dual tower design will perform just as well, because it's a design that's impossible to fuck-up
tomshardware.com
Pic related deserves to be the standard meme cooler for future discussion, especially since it's only $20 more than a 212 Evo, a cooler that's starting to wear out it's welcome, especially if you OC
What a weird lil' motherfucker
No, NOW you're in 2010
it also performs like ass
I was about to buy one like that because it was smaller, but decided against it. I just can't stand the way it looks and I like tinkering too much, vertical alignments make that hard. That's actually a pretty new case, I've swapped my whole rig out when Ryzen came out and now I'm just waiting on Vega, only two more weeks now, to decide between that and the 1070. I'm going to get a backplate so I don't deal with that sag shit again.
>change fan mode from PWM to DC
>fined by FAA
Nah this happened in my room when I lived with my mom, the lamp shade melted and broke in such a way that shape just kinda happened. The scary thing is that the first time I saw it I was tripping on acid.
Such a fucing hassle to clean though. Owned two big heatsinks, Megahalems and Panteks TCP14, both are hard to clean. I'm getting an AIO next time i clean my rig.
Out of the way, losers
Literally spray it with compressed air and all the dust will come flying out. Vacuum up the remains.
If you're having dust problems you'll still have it with a closed water cooler's radiators. You'll need a case with dust filters.
heh heh, step aside kiddos, I've got this
how do you clean it?
This looks stupid and cool at the same time, 13 year old me would've designed my whole rig around this
FT02 is objectively one of the best cases for airflow, too bad it's pretty hard to get a brand new one now
it takes oversize atx boards, and has enough space to hold my brick huge zotac 1080 Amp! extreme graphics card. it just looks small since its a full tower case turned on its back. tinkering in that is the same as in any case. pictures do not do this case justice. except you are looking for a case you can play football inside, then you have to go for the silverstone TJ11, it has a vertical motherboard mount and it is so fuck huge, you can fill out your residency papers and live inside of it. silverstonetek.com
