What's the best weapon in the "soulsborne" series and why is it pic related?
Though let's be honest, everything in Bloodborne stomps all over Souls weapons except the tonitrus, that shit sucks ass

I don't get why everyone shits on the tonitrus. I used it on a STR/ARC run and loved it, anything weak to lightning got fucked.

>anything weak to lightning got fucked
Anything weak to lightning is also weak to thrust, since the only thing weak to lightning is kin. Oh, and bolt paper/bolt gems exist. Tonitrus has shit range and the moveset doesn't change when "tricked" it's just a shitty buff

I miss it.

It's actually the rifle spear

it's just a boring club that makes noise
in a game filled with big ass transforming weapons it's pretty boring

>triple kill
hnnngg
I got a similar feeling from landing the parasite's special, so fucking satisfying.

Bitching.

>m'lady
>*tips top hat*

I would have sex with this weapon.
It would be painful, but worth it.

not even the best weapon in its own game

...

Dual Bone Fists

you literally can't compare, it has the greatest moveset in the entire series

Good taste

desu I only use it because nobody else does.

>r1 l1 l1
feels good

Every weapon besides tonitrus is perfect

Personal favorite is the bowblade, really fun in coop

I tried making a STR character just so I could use this, kirkhammer, boom hammer, and beast claws

Beast claws felt like shit, boom hammer felt too niche, kirkhammer is satisfying as fuck. Amygdala arm was fun, but holy FUCK does it drain stamina. On the plus side, it's surprisingly versatile. The untricked charge attack just shits out burst damage and throws the enemy away to let me recover stamina, and the tricked mode has a good AoE R1. Plus, clawing at people with the nail from a long-ass distance is fucking fun.

Tonitrus is pretty great for getting you past the "lol no spells" part of an arcane build. It's only sins are being a bit boring and surprisingly brittle.

>Beast claws felt like shit
wat
Beast claws were fucking awesome

Beast Claws are pretty fun if you have the transformation rune. That jump attack hits like a truck and it's super satisfying.

Nothing wrong with tonitrus besides limited move set. I kind of like having to give it a jolt to power it up.

the only fun weapon in DaS2. Too bad it took until the last DLC for it to be added.

anyways. BB also has the best iteration of the MLGS

Its not bad, its just not quite as fun as the other weapons

My friend fucking loves this weapon but I can't get into it

Sure it's hilariously long range with tricked R2s, but it feels surprisingly narrow, it feels bad that it can't be charged, and it eats stamina like nothing else

If I want long range I generally just go pic related, as I said earlier it's secretly the best weapon

>casually strolling up to and past you
What the fuck was the thinking behind this? A bad connection is the only logic I can think of here

It looks so good in BB. Both the regular un-transformed greatsword version and the proper Moonlight transformation are gorgeous.

DaS2 has got to have the ugliest looking iteration. It straight up looks like a toy.

I tried them with the transformation rune. It felt BETTER than without it, and that jump attack is fun, but it also feels awkward to land, and the beasthood mechanic that I was excited for turned out to be really awkward to use in practice, even with high beasthood armor.

Why not just use the boom hammer? It has the same "buff the weapon instead of changing the moveset" thing, but a much more interesting moveset and also the ability to fucking explode.

wheel

...

Good show

cucksecutioners get out

I use boom hammer as well.

>literal bull preppers calling others cucks

I tend to play rushdown characters in fighting games, so I treat certain weapons in BB like that. I posted the Saif, and the spacing is stellar with that weapon. Keep up the assault, then transform to back away to a safe distance. Same with the Beast claws, only you've got to pick your openings more carefully. Keep on the pressure and - if you've got the rune - scream to stagger them so you can get to safety and recover stamina.

Ah. Yeah, I don't really play much in the way of fighting games. I play Ness in party platformers, but he's fucking weird.

I just REALLY like gunlance. I like things like gunlance. Rifle spear is like gunlance. It's also incredibly satisfying to run at someone from way the fuck away, then even if they hit you you heal back half the damage they did thanks to rally.

Also fun is the moonlight greatsword, since it's fucking manly and throws sonic booms at people, and the kirkhammer, since it has the monster hunter hammer golfswing after the charged pound.

vilecucks are truly the worst

The brain of mensis did nothing wrong

...

Fucking meme weapon

>noobtube

I really liked the tonitrus, I thought it was really cool with the lightning and it seemed to do very decent damage to a lot of enemies. Sure it wasn't as crazy as other weapons but it was pretty cool nonetheless.

Also I think Dark Souls and Bloodborne perfectly illustrates the point that quality>quantity when it comes to weapons.

>Game all about weapons turning into cool versions
>Noobs flock to the sword that becomes a bigger sword
for what purpose

Pfft thats no real magic sword, let Benhart show you the real deal

...

Well, it is technically one of the most powerful weapons in the game from an objective standpoint

>It's actually the best PvP weapon in the game
>Normies only know how to R1

This is my favorite weapon.

>Large Sword Of Moonlight in DeS
>faith weapon
>in every other Soulsborn game it scales with magic

WHY FROM REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

The L2 is cool but why are all the attacks fucking thrusts
Where's my fuckhuge slam

>No serration

Absolutely haram

>for what purpose
Great damage, has a safe and versatile moveset while transformed, untransformed is even more safe. Can be had at the beginning of the game and scales wonderfully into the late game. It's basically why people love using the claymore in souls games, except this one gives you a free longsword to keep in your pocket.

Am I the only one who thinks this doesn't even 'fit' the theme of BB? It's a fucking regular, boring greatsword meanwhile we have all different kinds of unique snowflake weapons

In bloodborne, magic and faith are basically the same thing thanks to all the spooky cthulus
dont ask me about dark souls, I dunno why that is

Shitters. Shitters everywhere.

DeS guy should probably go to the doctor or something the MLGS going pretty deep into his shoulder.

That's what happens when you wield a sword that ignores fucking shields. You think shoulders matter?

It's fine its just light.

Technically it doesn't belong in Bloodborne because it's based off the Holy Moonlight Sword, which is based off the Moonlight Greatsword which is kinda like an Easter Egg in almost every FROM game.

Charged tricked R2?

To the game's defense, I don't think that part of the sword is supposed to be solid.

It's a sword of light, powered entirely by your faith in God. Do you have faith? Umbassa.

>those particles
Why was DaS3 so disappointing visually?

>everything in Bloodborne stomps all over Souls weapons
for the most part, you're right
pic related is based af tho

>Unironically saying the word "soulsborne" when everybody fucking knows BB was a souls game
>that cringy fucking word

I bet you say fandom too, die

>pic related is based af tho
>posts Bloodborne weapon

>getting this fanny flustered over a common term
No one cares but you, phoneposter.

that's a ringed city weapon

>The only fun weapon in DaS2

Powerstance 2 Blue Flames and go full spellblade.

Guys just a quick question, do I need to buy all weapons from bath messenger to get the hunters essence throphy?

>when everybody fucking knows BB was a souls game
Except it wasn't though

Yeah, it was.

It wasn't though

It was

Nope

Best BB weapon is the Beast Cutter
