OP is correct, the game was WAY too short for full price. I'm not paying £40 for 40 mins of entertainment. NG+ doesn't even add anything, it's literally the same thing again and again.

The combat is pretty different from bayonetta but the real meat is the story and the way the side quests supplement the story.

If you have any interest in tragic/bittersweet stories wrapped up in fantastic dynamic music i'd give it a try. There's a lot more but I think this game should be experienced as blind as possible.

There's a sound effect being played and your screen gets distorted for half a second when you're hit. It's really easy to know when you fucked up.

Seriously though, this game is piss easy on normal. The only time I had to drink potions was during boss fights in A route, and at the B route I had such a ridiculous health regen that potions might have disappeard from the game and I wouldn't notice.

There's a chip for that mate, it can be disabled and I think it is after you finish the prologue.
Higher levels of that chip grants higher healing. For example at like level 4 a small heal will work the same as a medium heal when it's auto used.

They literally made the game so that you can spam dodge and never get hit (at least in 1v1).

If you to not spam just get used to worst hitboxes in history of vidya and pretend everything is 20% bigger.

First area is not hard if you play on normal I do hope you are playing with a controller.

Only place where invisible walls are a problem is the tutorial level, and the tutorial level has to be super linear because it's the tutorial.

Game is amazing. Best soundtrack, best character designs, extremely interesting story and doesn't feel stale or overdesigned like 99% of games feel these days. No. In the city area, while trying to move around, you cannot enter holes in and between buildings. In the amusement park area there are staircases that are inaccessible because of invisible walls for some reason. It's fucking annoying. This isn't 2007 anymore, devs have means to design these areas in such a way that they don't have to resort to invis walls.

The tragedy is that it has a ton of GOAT moments interspersed in an otherwise 7.5/10 reviewer scale game.

It has some bits where its melodrama is sold perfectly, music sync, and gameplay elements really do enhance the story. There's some bits in the story where it feels like its being too subversive and twisty for its own good, but maybe I'm just retarded and didn't see the hints that 9S was gonna get a murderboner to THAT extent.

If it got an enhanced edition with A2, Adam & Even, a few hints at stuff like the memory cage then the story would be perfect.
