No real must-haves for me. XCX came close but then I saw the combat was literally WoW-tier mmo shit and I NOPE'd right the fuck out of there.

I want one because a portable-that-isn't-complete-dogshit-and-can-output-to-TV-for-reasons is pretty much exactly what I want in a system at this point. It's just too little for way too much money at the moment; for me it would be a $360 Zeldabox for at least the next 6 months and I can't justify that to myself. If it gets an amazing holiday sale/bundle I might pick one up this year and just fukken wait on the games (I have a history of buying systems for even single games and building a small collection from there, and I have never regretted any of them yet) but as it stands it's pretty much irrelevant to me until probably late next year, and even that's not certain.

Worst come to worst I wait a few months for a friend of mine to wrap up his time with BotW and just borrow his WiiU and the game for a playthrough.

the only really worthwhile games there are dong freeze, captain toad, bayo 2, W101, splatoon, MK8 and maybe wind waker if you're into remakes

1) can't find the fuckin thing
2) if I could find it, I wouldn't buy it. these units are still plagued with screen scratching issues with the dock
3) games (rightfully) are still expensive. wait a year for some software to get cheaper

Any good WiiU games I should try? I got stuck with the thing because I tried to be nice to my father. Zelda was awesome, but the eShop has nothing but shit or Virtual Console on it.

What you fail to realize is that Nintendo is already dead. It's been dead since 2005. They don't make real games anymore. They pander to children, women and autists who are stuck in the 80's. Sure, they make a profit, they exist, but their entire brand is based on rehashes and sequels with very little innovation. Even BotW, which is derivative and generic as can be, was in development for 6 years. I'm glad you enjoy your Hasbro game tablet, but it isn't a real game system.
