This part is true. All jobs have seen a one DoT reduction (if you include Aero) except for BRD who still has VB/WB.

As for SAM, there's another WS they have that is similar to the old Touch of Death for MNK in that it doesn't break combos but is on the GCD. It gives 10 Kenki to encourage you to keep it up on time. Media embargo is up on the 31st, you'll see by next week.

The potencies just sound big because you're used to earlier ones. The numbers will keep getting higher each expansion and they wanna put a gap between tanks and DPS anyway.

Potencies are just factors. There's no reason for them to get higher with each expansion.

They're going to share the bed because WHM is PLD's girl and DRK is cucking the PLD.

There's also the fact that it looks like DoTs and Cooldowns are being reduced in general so they have to make up for the loss of those through higher potencies.

As stupid as it would have been, I'm a little disappointed SAM didn't get an attack that changes depending on how long it's charged, like Cyan.

It would have made planning the rotation great.

It's not based on time, but their iaijutsu does change effect based on which sigils you have charged. It's a similar concept but doesn't turn them into another Wanderer's Minuet.

Holy Spirit also has a 25y range, meaning that PLD is the only tank that can reliably DPS without being in melee range.

As a current xiv player and former wow player i would just say dont even bother. unless you have no other mmo to play. Imo you wont get used to the gcd. But who knows you can always free trial up to 30 or whatever it is. The player base is also a bunch of cancer.

I wish I knew how to play AST, the new skills are visually pleasing. The aoe that blows up into constellations was so pretty.

Like it's not horrible, it's just pockmarked by fetch quests and the cutscene placement in dungeons is poorly handled. It just needed some tweaking.

The way to fix dissipation is to have it give the Scholar a big boost to their job meter in addition to its current boosts.
