Age of Mythology

Did anyone else use to kinda RP with the computer while using cheats to make sure you wouldn't lose on Titan difficulty for long ass period of time but then get pissed once the enemy started to build a wonder or a titan and then rape their city with candian bears?

Also, Age of Mythology 2 when?

...

I used to summon hoards of lazer bears and just send them upon everyone.

Still my favorite cheats in any game ever

I use to select the snowy map that makes natural border mountain walls for every team. I would make it 3 v 1 on Titan and use the Gaia tree growing cheat and endlessly make super small openings to my base and build an army of archers and watch them fuck up the giant clogged stampede of the opposing armies.

>cheat
No.

Oh gosh, the memories. What cheat units were there again? I remember the guy with the fork, that flying hippo..
Then you could also summon a dog, but I never did that because I'd always feel sad when it dies

Don't forget the lazer bears most powerful of all.

Also wrath of the gods which gave you all the OP god powers.

I never cheated.

I did, however, build my cities in an aesthetically pleasing manner. I also had a thing for using Gea's god power to adorn her wonder. Because if there was one thing I loved, it was to make a verdant land in the middle of Erebus.

>have like 20 farms around town center because it looked nice
>spammed trojan horse for sale atm of erebus non stop during the game

Prostegama?

Prostagma?

Voulome

The most intense fun I've had was to use money cheats while playing against max (8 I guess?) CPUs on lightning.

Kalos

Malista

I didn't RP, but I did build huge ass cities and giant armies using cheats, then I would wall in the computers.

AoE 1 had the best selection of cheats in an RTS

I'd use the cheat that renewed god powers and summon 40 Nidhoggs. They'd stack on each other and look like one Nidhogg, but with the damage of 40

I literally JUST starting playing this game, even though I played Age of Empires all the time as a kid. Boy oh boy, was I missing out on the fun. I'm not good enough for like easy mode though, I can only play on higher difficulties when I have allies who take the brunt of the damage for me.
On steam workshop there's mods that allow infinite god powers without cheating (but there's still cool down so you can't spam shit).

>tfw you didn't select a Forseti but you still got your hands on a healing spring

so how is the new expansion?

haven't played it, by my understanding is that the Chinese are broken as hell

I enjoy. Chinese are too OP, and it's a little buggy/laggy, otherwise it's still the same old game. I only got it, because I've never owned it before.

>tfw still making single player maps to play by myself

I did RP in Quake 3 Engine games like Jedi Outcast, RtCW or Soldier of Fortune.

/god, /noclip, /notarget, /giveall and summon some npcs. Was a lot of fun. Even on LAN servers with my lads.

I should play this game some more, fun as fuck.
>I never cheated.
Go and get yourself some Canadian laser bears my friend, and some flying rainbow hippos to go along with them

>Did anyone else use to kinda RP
I did, but not the way you did. I would just dick around the editor, build cities and shit and make the characters walk around and interact. Did the same thing with AOE3.

Balance issues aside, I've found the expansion content pretty buggy.

>spending hours in the editor pitching 12 AI players against each other

It's like watching a city builder game that builds itself.
...also it has dragons and meteors and hoplites fighting vikings and shit

Fritomos

>say things in chat
>bots respond depending on what you said

EIS VOLI

Eir ifir

>make custom map with max players
>isolate myself on an island with isis statues spread out making me immune to go powers
>watch ai kill each other

That shit was way too much fun, shame tale of the dragon is a buggy piece of shit.

What kind of magic is this?

I miss old MP games. I miss bots... :(

The expansion is kinda shit, Atlanteans are broken and Titans are annoying. You're forced to rush one as soon as you can or else your opponent will just use his to run you over.

Flying purple hippos were better, if only because they could fly.

after growing up on AoM, anything else outside of AoE doesn't feel like a proper rts to me
