On a technical, from a pure fighting style standpoint I'd say he's pretty fucking beasty, probably one of the best sword fighters this series has. That combined with the Eternal Sword makes him a serious threat.

Im glad they didn't have her pull some crazy stunt on the party. I mean she was spying on you some but to be fair the party are kind of assholes and everyone knew what she up too and that was really the end of it

Yuri is the most average in terms of raw power, but he does have the highest skill and battle experience, fighting monsters even without Bodhi Blastia and coming out on top most encounters.

But yeah, he's not anywhere near the average plot powered Tales protagonists

it would have been too easy to make her the full on traitor, and I'm glad they went a different route.

You can't cheese it like with Vesperia, running around and azure edging, but overall, Luke has a lot of guard breaks and admittedly gets pretty fun once you learn to use him

In what way, each of those characters behavioral patterns art in no way similar. Their ingame power levels had doesn't have much bearing on whether they're relatable or not.

I liked the ending. It was impactful and meaningful, having her suddenly give up on revenge and settling down with a big fat saccharine happy ending would have been far worse

Eizen's fate is fine since his whole character arc in Berseria is him facing his inevitable doom as a dragon since he's pretty soaked in malevolence.

And you're mistaken, Sorey fuses with Maotelus while they're in hiberation to help him heal. Since Sorey ends up free at the end, it's safe to assume Maotelus is fine.

Bersy's is better than Zets by a good deal but I still would rather they cut the crap. I want that one mythril spear I find to mean something not be one in a long line of drops that clutter up my inventory as I compare which of them gives the best marginal stat boosts. Not to mention new gear ends up feeling lack luster because I plus 9 the old gear and I can't even tell what's actually better in the long run

It's not complicated it just sort of feels to mechanical. It takes the fun out of finding new gear. I want that new sword at the next town or the new wand I find in a volcanno to feel special not just be one of hundreds of similar clones.

They skip everything interesting in the writing, do no skits, have like zero good fight scenes (enemies are literally fucking dementors), Barely have anyone Armatize, ignore the dungeons and stuff to focus on sitting around in boring politics town shit, rewrite a bunch of characters (Rose goes from confident professional to unstable revenge bitch, Maltran isn't evil and is used as a damsel in distress, Lunarre is barely a villain and just shows up a couple of times only to die on the good guy's side, main villain even turns out to be trying to do some good at the end???), Give Alisha more screentime only to have most of it be her moping around like a loser all the time, Jam in tons of Beseria fanwank that completely derails the game's climax (they actually go to the town at the end of Beseria which is somehow still fucking there untouched despite the massive tectonic upheaval???) and then finally they give everyone undeserved happy ending by having Sorey's victory actually purify Eizen without killing him so the whole underlying point of dragons is ruined.

It's shit and I hate it.

That Laphicet would be corrupted at all after what we see in Berseria is depressing and frankly I want to see Eizen challenge and defeat his fate. His character wasn't about being doomed it was fighting against odds

But that's the thing most of the skills are just boring min maxing crap. A plus 3 percent here and there, plus whatever to a contextual scenario you can't know in advance.

Vesperia had more tangible rewards and skills +plus hits to your combo, air combo, new skills.

Phi in Zestiria is alive and well, Sorey even tells you that the whole reason why he's going to sleep with Maotelus is to 1. Purify Maotelus which they succeed in doing fairly quickly 2.purify the land itself and 3 to act as a medium so that Maotelus could increase resonance in the continent.
