ITT: spoil a game a people guess where its from
ITT: spoil a game a people guess where its from
You where the bad guy all along but you forgot and ended up doing your own thing
half of all game plots ever
but also KotOR
The culprit is god. You defeat them.
Actually, she's your daughter.
You win
It was grandma the whole time
A personage discriminates, a bondservent acquiesces.
It turns out that the one who taught you about your powers lied about a crucial fact and is actually an older version of a character you already know who traveled back in time in order to stop the villains.
SHITTY
EFFIN
ADULTS
spec ops the line
I haven't even beaten madarame yet and i can tell you're talking about persona 5
The gods aren't real but just the creation of an ancient, advanced race of people.
You're unknowingly marching your love interest to her death in a battle with his reincarnated father.
He knew it was a fake because you just told him, fuccboi
Boishock Infinite. Not even difficult, comrade.
You go to Heaven and watch other people fight the main villain.
Militaristic Corporations fight for Mars. Earth deploys the MC from the last game to babysit their shit. MC from the last game single-handly annhilates the corporations, goes rouge and designates the moons orbit to collide with mars. You kill him. He's revered as a hero. The end
It turns out that you actually look more like this guy.
The villains convince you to commit suicide.
Sounds sorta like InFamous 1, but I haven't played it in years
Ghost Trick?
All memories in the game imply they're yours, it is later revealed they're your twins
Your travelling buddy and the villain turn out to be long lost lovers. They stop a black hole from swallowing the universe by getting married.
The whole universe of the game was created by humans conducting an experiment in a space station orbiting Earth
You kill yourself which ends up killing everyone else.
Xenoblade
Ghost Trick
Bravely default
You are not who you thought you were, only made to look and act like that person, in order to protect them while they do their own thing. All you've done is basically thrown away.
The villain was just trying to get a seed to fix his dying home planet. Mankind and their advanced tech was killing the magic anyway
boxboy
Yep
Fuck me for looking at this. At least I still have the fun of finding out how the fuck this came about.
The one who sold you out at the "beginning" of the game is the most obvious one because they were the only one you were set up to not trust.
I did think if it wasnt Goro it could have been Makoto. That would have made for a great twist.
Where you at? If you're still in about the first 20~30 hours, then expect shit to get real bonkers
You fight and separate your antihero brother from the beast of destruction and you both get away, but instead his girlfriend stays behind in a coma, acting as a seal. Bk3 anyway
You were brainwashed into killing yourself on sight, luckily you had amnesia so you couldn't remember what you looked like and no one had a mirror on hand so instead you went to a defunct power station and shot a bunch of scientists on life support
I'm at Eryth Sea, just got to the place Melia's from.
All you wanted was to not die alone and you meet a girl, but you end up dying alone anyway.
Probably real life, but it's also a game.
Your employer is not human. She's one of them but was rejected by them so she turned against them.
The villain from this game didn't die after you defeated her, instead she fused with your lifelong arch-nemesis and you have to go inside him to purge/exorcise the problem.
The director already knew he was turning evil, so he set you up and bestowed powers upon you so could eventually fight him.
It hasn't even gone full anime yet then.
sonic adventure 2 battle
Uh, not what I was thinking of actually. Shit, is that actually the plot of BoxBoy? I thought that was just a simple puzzle game
MGSV
Bowsers vore story
The canon romance route was removed because its gay.
pillars of eternity
You were the bad guys all along but forgot about it and in the end chose to go your own way.
Also, no one actually was killed.
Bioshock Infinite again, maybe
Ass Creed?
Wrong
ha pranked, you is really kill
nothing was real xDDDD
You beat the villain but then the real big bad shows up and the game is far from over. You dick around and then disintegrate him with a giant mech suit.
Actually, Superstar saga. Cackletta gets "killed" by the Mario Bros. but ends up possesing Bowser so the final fight involves you going inside hime to fight her ghost.
persona 3, 4, 5
also ffx
Persona 4 but probably also a shit ton of JPRGs, a genre I don't touch that often.
HADES!
Kid Icarus Uprising?
It's fucking nothing
10/10
Every JRPG ever
All of it is in Ghost Trick.
I am so lucky I went entirely unspoilered into it, game has been a charming and stylish rollercoaster from start to finish.
At the 95 percent mark, and after defeating your former gang leader, the government you worked for comes and blows you away. You get to play as your son years later and get revenge on the man who killed your father.
Persona 5 would have been way better if you had to take down some kind of shadow government who manipulated Mementos instead of a generic mecha God who only appears at the last moment
A giant black hole nearly sucks up the entire universe so a bunch of babies sacrifice themselves to create a new big bang and reset the universe.
RDR
Yeah I played it on a holiday so no internet access and my god I was blown away. I deliberately dont think about it for a while before replaying so i can experience it again. The twists are incredible.
Shit gets nuts as it turns out there are multiple forms of the main villain from different times
Ben 10
To save your daughter and your futa/herm love interest friend, you're erased from existence and everyone's memories.
Your old accomplice was dead the whole time, it was hidden from one of you to stop them from going berserk.
Your ally steals your wife (revealed to be his sister) and ends up fathering the Anti Christ. Your son now goes off to fight said Anti Christ.
Dream Drop Distance
I finished it back in 2012 and my memory is hazy but I feel like if I pick it up again I'll be able to predict twists and remember everything. Kind of like when you're rewatching a movie bits of which you've seen on tv already.
But everything about the game is absolutely adorable, I haven't played Ace Attorney prior to that but I had to when I learned that it's made by the same people.
>futa/herm
Kinda makes it pretty obvious
John, you are the demons. Also you're not John and John was probably dead the whole time.
BioShock
Red Faction 2?
Red Dead Rededed
That one Rugrats game on PS1
Kingdom Hearts 3D
NieR
The coffee is accurate.
The massacre was actually a riot.
You get the girl in the end.
You don't get the girl in the end.
The dog was the mastermind all along.
It was ayylmaos the whole time
You're the main character of the game but in all honesty, you're just along for the ride.
The rest of your party is far more important in the struggle to liberate your home country from recent annexation by a big bad empire to the north.
HINT: star wars
Off the wild chance since you've mentioned coffee... Deadly Premonition? I haven't played past the first level with zombies or whatever.
yep
Your blonde best friend watches you die in the rain, and is so traumatized by it that he pretends to be you in the next game. Also, Gackt gets taken away by the Men in Black
Silent Hill 2?
Yeah, but a lot of these go unanswered because they're too vague.
Correct.
The young innocent sidekick completely loses his shit as he finds out that everything he knew was a lie, and everything he loves gets destroyed.
That's kinda vague, can you give more to go on?
Bloodborne and/or one of the Silent Hills
FFVII, come on, you shouldn't have mentioned Gackt. Or rather it's the prequel game to FFVII, whatsitsname. Never played any FF by the way.
Automata
Correct.
FK
Fuck?
Whatever it is, it sure is in that damn coffee.
After trying to save the kingdom and your waifu you turn in to a monster and get killed by a bunch of guards
Autotomato
"John" is an Asian
It's sci fi
Answer: Prey 2017
FFVX. Once again, haven't played any FF.
The main villain for most of the game just kinda fucks around for a few days, and the real main villain is a piece of wood.
you're actually a clone and kill the original with a hoard of clones after falling into a magic lake.
A guy saves a princess from a turtle monster thing.
Good guys become the bad guys by reasons and the bad guys become the good ones by fighting them, later they join together and fight the actual bad guys
