I love 1 so much

But yeah I'm in a similar situation. Grew up with Crash and Sonic while everyone I know grew up with the N64 classics.

I remember letting my friend borrow the Crash trilogy in exchange for the Spyro ones

growing up as a sony kid with family who had an n64 and the essentials (read: smash bros) was awesome

I'd be ridiculously excited if they were making a new mainline Crash game or something.
But as it stands I don't care much at all. The remade visuals have been very hit or miss with me and I am confident in them not ruining the level designs and or the physics of the game.

First thing first, I didn't have a N64 as kid. I was allowed to own just one console (and a PC). My choice was PS1 (mostly because fightans).

I played Crash 1 to 3 religiously and on daily basis. I had fond memories of playing Crash 2.

Growing up I went back to N64, Saturn and every console I missed before PS2 and GameCube. My gaming knowledge improved dramatically. My tastes became more refined than ever.

Some years ago I made a bad decision. I thought it would be nice to go back to Crash.
Well, I found out that Crash was a silly game for dumb kids. I was a dumb kid too.
Crash just suck'd. It's just shit. From characters design to the actual gameplay. I don't even know where to start. I was shocked actually.
Thinking about Crash 2 bring nostalgia tears to my eyes but playing the actual game makes me puke.

Crash 1 and 2 actually looked an played like a corridor version of DKCountry. The resemblance to DKC was so strong I don't even know how Naughtydog could get away with it.

I fucking wasted my childhood on this shit games. I could have played better but my choice was this shit.
Fuck me for building nostalgia on shit games like Crash. Fuck Crush for sucking so much.
