Tbqh I probably wouldn't get one even if nintendo paid me $500. Bad hardware, appalling release schedule and rate, and bubbly, plastic aesthetics is fine for a game or two but not every single 1st party game.

save data is stored in the system's memory and can't be transferred to a new Switch via SD card. Nintendo has an internal way for save transfers, but they only use it on defective Switch units that consumers send in.

you can't physically play WiiU games on Switch and vice versa. The libraries are different.
