I think the game is fine though.

The game just seems so dumbed down. Even compared to DoW2 whereby 6 squads is a lot.

It means with the terrible balance at current you struggle to counter anything other than by out spamming the enemy.

People bought the game to play the blood ravens story and then uninstalled, just like every other RTS.

actually no. Weapons teams can slow down big blobs extremely effectively and the actual game has you running around and harrassing bases. Relic's biggest fuck up was not having something like the last stand mode or even a victory point mode.

Even people who like the game (like me) stopped playing until the balance patch that comes out on 31st. A few games vs a meta Eldar is enough to make you wish for a fucking refund.
The game has good potential, but the way Relic treats the community is pure cancer. They just don't learn from their mistakes. For example that balance patch was supposed to come out on 24th, but they delayed it.

I disagree, DoW2 didn't have nearly as much depth when it comes to various unit abilities. There's only 3 armies, but they are deeper than anything in the previous games. Now we only need at least some semblance of balance for all that strategic variety to shine. I was a DoW2 caster for 6 years so I feel like I know a bit about the game

I didn't have any hope for it before I actually played it during the beta. Turned out it's fun as fuck, so I bought it.
But then the game got released and Striking Scorpions got added to the game.
I haven't played it for 3 weeks now, fuck Dawn of Eldar 3.
