Dark souls series and bloodborne.
Fallout series. 3 and new vegas are the best. Don't listen to the nostalgia fags 1 and 2 are outdated and mediocre. And Fallout 4 is average. Maybe give it a go if you're bored.

Maybe Stalker, Might and Magic series, Ultima series?

Risen series, Divinity 2, Dragon's Dogma, maybe Two Worlds and Kingdoms of Amalur

Dragon's Dogma. It's really sweet medieval fantasy.

Bad post

Dark Souls and Bloodborne are fantastic games, but they're not immersive a la the games OP mentioned in their post. They're extremely gameplay-focused and the roleplay is bare.

New Vegas is the best Fallout but 3 is the worst. 1 and 2 are great for immersion and roleplay. 4 is below average but decent for immersion.

That image can also help you.

>D3 RoS
>rpg
>high tier
Whoever made this is an idiot.

I liked Fallout 4's gunplay and I thought the legendary guns were a nice addition. Fuck Bethesda though for not having like 50 different types of effects, there werent enough

>Dragon's Dogma
>i really dislike animu style games

>tw2 over tw1
Hilarious.

>Dragon's Dogma
>animu style

@378307189
Such a bait pic.

Could the non-idiot explain to me why a game that has level progression, skill tree, different builds and playstyles, dungeons and loot isn't an RPG?

It's totally weebshit.

Dragon Age Origins
It's a big immersive world and story. Ignore the faggots telling you to play Dragon's Dogma, it's an action game with an excuse plot. Barely any RPG elements to be seen.

This

...

Focus on fixing your own life before you delve into another fantasy world

Seconding Origins. It's a little bit generic, but it's generic done well.

>DA:O
>generic
Fucking what

If you like Gothic then try Risen. Don't bother with Risen 2 unless you really got an itch to scratch.
Also KotOR series (the second one being the best), Deus Ex (the original and Human Revolution), Fallout (first, second and New Vegas).

Even if that were the case (And it of course isn't) that wouldn't make it anime styled you damn moron. is right though, it's a great game but an action-RPG at most, and I agree with the recommendation of DA:O.

Try Final Fantasy XV or Dragon's Dogma.

Fallout 4 had a lot wrong with it, but its combat was decent in that it improved upon the previous 3D Fallouts. Unfortunately, its armour system was a complete clusterfuck and its reliance on power armour as a major feature in the game threw me off in a bad way.

I wasn't a fan of Legendary items. It made it seem too Diablo-y. I liked when Legendary items only appeared in the form of Uniques throughout the game world via quests or from characters

All the games are 20th century lmao
The elitism is strong in this one

The story. Elves being divine to some degree, but being heavily oppressed. Dwarves being underground mining strong dudes. Mages being great and all-powerful, but there being rogue mages that are dangerous. Demons. A small underdog group of mostly humans that was once great but is now disregarded banding everyone together beneath a common purpose to fight a greater evil. It's generic, dude. I love Origins so much, but it's not particularly innovative in the thematic and storytelling departments

Or maybe you are just fucking dumb?

No, you just reduced it to the most basic elements possible. You really just want to sound smart.
It takes all those cliche elements and does something totally special with it.

They should've done the unique weapons kinda like NV. Where regular weapons can be changed around with the gunsmith stuff and eventually even come out over uniques in standard stats, but uniques all have special traits that make choosing between a fully upgraded standard vs unique a matter of taste.

Are you going to attempt to assert your argument? I am willing to hear how you think Origins innovates in terms of story upon the foundation of generic fantasy. I don't think it's impossible, just not sure how Origins does it.

I'm more looking for an MMORPG.
No anime/comic(wow) style, too. And it shouldnt be a money sink. Spending money is ok, but for reasonable prices.
>want to subscribe for age of conan
>dont have credit card
>paypal doesnt work
>guess i should not play this game

Someone knows a few examples?

Spidersoft's games.

Are you from the past? MMORPGs are a dead genre.

>Are you from the past?
I wish.

>mmorpg
Out

MMO as in MMO, or RPG thats MMO? Do you want to make your own character and play for the story, or do you want to queue for bosses?

Not him, but what makes it not all THAT generic for me is the back story of the blights. But yeah, it's pretty generic like you said. But at least it pulls it off and has an interesting world/universe.

>1 and 2 are outdated and mediocre
faggot

>Arcanum
>God Tier
Its shit. I played it and its fucking shit.

Arx Fatalis

The blights are literally just the white walkers and the grey wardens are the nights watch. The name is even basically synonymous: Grey to black, warden to watch. Pretty fucking derivative and generic.

Immersion is a LOT more than character creation, atmosphere and sound design play a big role. Also Witcher has a pre-defined character.

dragon age origins is literally bioware trying their hardest witcher impression. all the way down to the games being shit

You have to be functionally retarded to not see that connection why do you waste your breath

completed all DS, dont own a PS4 sadly...
also played FO 3/4
MM6 and 7 beaten multiple times, never played ultima tho
Risen complete, hated risen 2/3... currently waiting for DIV2 full release... also tried DD and 2worlds, played it, but got bored 3/4 way trough

NWN2 God Tier? MotB sure. But vanilla and Storms? That's nuts.

Yeah, all Fallout games are fucking terrible.

Because it relates to the post I was replying to?

...

youre not going to convince him if he didn't immediately spot where they ripped off the grey wardens from because he's retarded

Ah I get you now

It has some goofy parts, but it's very much based on western fantasy. If you can't enjoy funny things in games, then I feel bad for you.

a weebshit interpretation of western fantasy you mean

What exactly do you mean by "weebshit"? Like, what parts of Dragon's Dogma strike you out as being too weeby?

Shit list, kill yourself nigger

Dude, are you actually confusing Dragon's Dogma and Dragon's Crown?

As I said, BACK STORY. Not just stripping it down to its most basic theme.

phantasy star online 2 or DDO

wizardry
ultima
might and magic
if you haven't played these you don't know shit about rpgs

Dragon's Dogma is 11$ on Humble

Try this game, it's pretty good and has strong immersion, it's an unfortunate look at what could have been in terms of immersion in RPGs.

youtube.com/watch?v=keJn9t_lJks

Made my morning

the whole fucking thing. it oozes weebshit out of every orifice

>zoom
>mid tier
>deus ex
It begin well

You literally missed out on the best. Play the fallout series, Deus Ex and VTMB asap.

Stop looking up strategy guides and walkthroughs. If you really want to immerse yourself, then you should be taking the time to figure out where you need to go - even if it takes several days to figure something out.

>But then I won't be able to 100% the game and find the hidden super sword!

That's why you replay it.

>user i have a concern
>cause you're fucking dumb

die

True, it depends on the type of immersion you want. Sometimes I can sit in bloodborne for hours and be cool and other times I can't play anything but a uncharted type game with very linear restrictions. I didn't think your post was bad though, so, id say it's all relative.
