These threads seem to be occurring with increased frequency lately.

Suppose I'll talk about Spyro Year of the Dragon this time.

Think I was like 5 or something when I first played it, but I didn't play it too much since my brother thought it'd be a good idea to sell it to some dude. I eventually got my hands on it at some point when I was like 12 and played the shit out of it. I fell in love with the visuals and the music the game had. It's probably my favourite game ever made, and yet I can't justify with some kind of lengthy-ish paragraph like I could some of the other games on my 3x3. Odd.

I appreciate your effort in these posts.

6/10 genre entry, honestly. Lots of nostalgia behind its popularity. 2 picks up to about a 7.5, but not enough to endure 1 if you aren't enjoying it. You have to keep in mind that this was the exact same time frame that FFX came out in, when an entire new generation of jrpg fans were playing their first ones. And yeah, the writing in GS is notorious for being really bad, redundant, expositional garbage. It doesn't get better.

How do the ratings in these threads work ?

Curse of Darkness and Lament of Innocence are good. But stay away from the Lord of Shadows games.

I don't see the point in an arbitrary number rating system? Why does anyone care about how many of their fave games anonymous people on the internet have liked? I like what does where he actually explains why he likes stuff though.
