Fucking retards when will they learn.
thats what you get for buying digital.
Either pirate or make sure it doesnt have any kind of online drm.
what is that list?
>"buy" a game
Um, sweetie that's not how it works, you don't buy games from steam.
>have a majority of those games
>I can still install them
False flag is false
>steamdrones will defend this
This happened to me with Metro 2033. Checked my account recently and I only had 2033 Redux and Last Light (+ Redux).
is that screenshot of some sort of steam library? If so how do you access it.
looks it's games removed from steam, or if it has brackets then it means the game is replaced with another version e.g. Dirt 3 replaced with Dirt 3 Complete Edition
games removed from store
442 games and 11 programs
>Not getting your money from g2a back
see I am still mad about Duke Nukem Megaton Edition
>buy a key from g2a
Here is your problem.
Well fuck, I didn't even know Dragon Age II was ever on Steam.
your Metro 2033 key is from g2a right?
I still have the original game in my library but I bought the physical box version long time ago.
Literally what game. Not a steamdrone, but I want to know what games have done this.
>Duke
Yeah. This one genuinely steams my pirogis.
>Since we're releasing a """remaster""" of the game, we're replacing the old one on Steam entirely
>Oh and it has less content :^)^)
how do i get any of those games on steam then?
blur, anno, several duke nukem, fable 3, mafia 2
got blur revoked after a month, fable after a year and mafia was missing for some time
Yeah I have the game in my library too except I got it for free when the publisher or whoever was doing a promotion for the sequel. Not sure how he got his removed.
I have the original metro 2033 in my library still, I'm wondering if he got unlucky with a bogus key. I wish last light was still available. I have the redux version, but it makes ranger mode stupidly unplayable with the bullet sponge bosses.
Yeah. G2A. I don't like G2A but it's my go-to whenever I want something that got removed from Steam.
beat me to it
By buying from trusted key sellers and not the shady shit that is g2a.
I'd gladly pirate all my shit if I wasn't so incredibly paranoid about malware. No, a bunch of positive comments or a private tracker isn't enough to truly know if it's actually safe or not.
i always put a buck or two more if i can get a key from a trusted seller tho
still it's steam fault
general rule is if the torrent is still up after a couple of days then it's safe, otherwise they remove it. private trackers, at least.
>removing games that someone purchased
and people wonder why pirating on PC exists
>you only paid for the license Dxx
fuck off kikes
i have a 1,5 tb of pirated shit and no antivirus for like 3 years now
worst thing that happened was italian version of some game and cp once but no malware
Buying from G2A, thats the mistake.
>general rule is if the torrent is still up after a couple of days then it's safe, otherwise they remove it. private trackers, at least.
A lot of malware is incredibly difficult to detect if you aren't dealing with something purchased by a random script kiddie.
A reminder that Steam revokes game licenses based on Developer/current rights holder's request. If you wanna ree at someone, blame the fuckers who requested the Steam revocation/replacement.
Steam is in a weird middle ground where they claim they want to be a free market for vidya and are taking steps towards that, but then let Devs/publishers do bullshit like this which is a heavily anti-consumerist and anti-free market move.
>buy a game from g2a
>activate it on steam so you don't own it anymore, but is just renting it
10/10 OP, would laugh at you again
how does GOG keep their games on the store then?
Most game releases come from the scene. Just make sure you grab a proper scene release. The groups doing those have been trustworthy for years.
Totally separate entity. Totally separate policy. For all intents and purposes, GoG buys the right to sell the game instead of a license to sell the game, which a developer or current right holder of an IP/franchise can not so readily just request removal of.
In other words, GoG doesn't give a shit about what a Developer wants them to do with the products they sell once they have the right to sell it.
They don't.
Alan Wake, for example, disappeared from GOG the same way it disappeared from steam.
Scene releases are leaked. You have no idea if they've been tampered with or not.
Huh, really?
md5 checksum
Yes. They are bound to the same laws. If the licenses in the game expired, like they did in the case of alan wake's music, they are not allowed to sell the game.
Doesn't GOG allow you to download removed games if you bought them, other people just can't buy new copies? Or is that bullshit. None of the shit I've bought on GOG has been removed so I wouldn't know.
>md5 checksum
And where do scene groups release MD5s? I've seen SFVs but those are just CRC32.
Yeah, Alan Wake had RIAA fucknugget lawyers involved so it's disappeared from legitimate sources. Probably forever, since the recording industry probably expects Remedy to pay them eleven jillionty dollars to renew the license on Alan Wake's soundtrack.
GOG also yanked Fallout from the store when Bethesda-Zenimax was renegotiating contracts, but as a FUCK YOU they gave away the Fallout bundle for free for like 48 hours before they had to remove them.
Look at all the series that removed previous incarnations
>Football Manager
>Other soccer series
>NBA series
>MLB series
>Pro Cycling series
That's the future of digital: Selling you the same product over again every year or so. An older, cheaper copy won't be an option.
>Bookworm Adventures
Literally made me check. I still have it installed from years back, but it's not on my Steam list
Speaking of which, there was a time when Alan Wake got its own Humble Bundle (Everything for $10). I have a vague recollection of buying it, but it's not in my Steam list, and I never installed it. guess I'm SoL
>buying steam keys from credit card scammers
In my opinion you should be given jail time for getting involved with criminals selling stolen goods.
That's odd you should still have access to it. I sill have cryostasis and that's been unavailable for years now.
Yeah I have that too.
Oddly enough I want the original AVATAR game, there's a new one being made too.
It does. I have several games that have been removed (among them XIII, the Fallouts, and Duke atomic) and last I checked they were still there.
As far as I knew with Steam was the same. The fact that they can outright remove games (not just "upgrade") from accounts is news to me.
Did you try checking out the humble site to see if you have unused keys?
>but no malware
how the fuck would you know?
and that rule is made by?
the guys running the private tracker who uses your computer as a bitcoin mining bot or part of his zombie botnet?
