I always put on my hoodie when it rains in the game. I think it's comfy as fuck.

Hahahahahahahaha How The Fuck Is Rain Real Hahahaha Nigga Just Walk Away And Make A Fire Like Nigga Ride Your Horse Haha

*finds cave in the overworld and starts a fire to sit at*

the first time I did this was the comfiest shit ever

*stops playing*

*Guardian theme starts playing*

I loved realizing that I could do this and all the little moments it made, hope a slower-paced RPG rips off these mechanics at some point for the coziest adventure ever.

>slips on wet terrain
>can climb ice no problem
do ching chongs also have slants in they're brains?
fucking dumbasses

...

Ice can't be climbed

You can climb cryosis just fine.

>starts thunderstorming
>take off all metal objects
>end up getting struck by a random lightning strike

>taking off metal objects
>not using your Traveler's sword as a life-or-death game of Hot Potato

Can't throw shields though.

You actually do slip on it. The way slipping works in this game is if you climb just long enough, or if you jump onto the wall. If you jump onto a cryonis pillar's side, you'll slip. The only one with the slant in their brain is you, user.

>rains
>look for any wall you can get under
>make a fire
whooptie fucking doo

this ! Just a little bit survival elements. Like the need of sleep or some other shit would do wonders.

Just imagine a game like souls or a party heavy rpg.
>You sometimes need to find a place to chill, light a bonfire.
>You talk with your party during this, get additonal convo unlocking sidequests or whatever

This would be just fucking awesome. And I am not talking about super duper survival elemtns, which I hate. But just a little bit crafting and this camping idea would be great.

>gets struck by lightning when having metal object on back
>doesnt when wearing fucking metal armor

>throw lizalfos boomerangs during thunderstorms trying to have it hit enemies like that one webm
when it works it feels great, still can't do it consistently though.

Dragon Age Origins did this

Press down on the dpad when holding items to switch between dropping and throwing.
You can use plants and mushrooms to attract fish, as long as the bait has an effect that matches the fish's own effect (Stamina shrooms attract Stamina fish, etc.)
Cooking from 11:30 to midnight during a blood moon night will guarantee your dish comes ouit extra potent.

>Getting chased by enemies at that tower surrounded by water
>Thunderstorm starts and strikes half the enemies that are in the water chasing me and they instantly die

>wasting a fire arrow each time it starts raining

>what's flint?

>Starts thunderstorming
>Put on rubber armor
>FUCK YOU NATURE

>wasting flint each time it starts raining
Even worse!

>not just using one of your fire weapons

Just making them shoot their fire doesn't degrade their durability.

well, when the fuck else would you use flint?

are there any actual caves or dungeons in the game? i`m 100 hours in and no dungeon yet

There's that one quest... and...

At minimum really, everybody should have a korok leaf and a fire weapon. They're pretty much essential tools that are worth being down two weapon slots.

It's the easiest material for black dye?

quest? where is the npc for the quest? I'm missing a bunch of quests

He's at Rito village, find the Hylian sad about his honeymoon

ah yes, there was that one bitch that wanted baked apples, so her husband i presume?

Just use the little orange jellys

>everybody should have a korok leaf

Why? Once you figure out how to use your runes to turn the rafts into motor boats you'll never need one again.

Yep

> Put on level 2 climbing gear
> Revali's Gale
> Endura Carrot meals
> Use this stuff to climb up to a high point, make a camp fire, and wait out the rain

What else are you going to use them for? Fire Arrows are shit.

nah, DA:O was more.
>oh you want to leave the area you are in
>oh look some monsters

they had the camping stuff yes, but that wasn´t like what I meant. Let us take BotW as a World and it´s size. Then say we take Dark Souls like actionrpg mechanic + all the "beeing alone" feeling.

So you are now in a world, on your own. Story is more about lore and you get slowly further. You are in a forest and you didn´t slept for 12 hours. You need to find a place to lit a bonfire and chill there. You can only take a limited amount of some items, which you can only organize during bonfires (kinda like witcher). etc.

*equips rubber clothing*

Champion weapons. I'm on my fifth Great Eagle Bow.

Might keep a Boulder Breaker on me once I get access to it. The game is giving me Royal Claymores like candy though, not sure how much I'll need it.

I've jumped into the pillars plenty of times using cryonis to cross the water, how exactly do you jump on them to make you slip?

Didn't Red Dead Redemption let you pitch a tent?

I'm pitching a tent right now if you know what I mean.

No no, slip down the side while climbing.

Yes there are dungeon the games

What the fuck have you been doing for 100 hrs?

Dunno what your first sentence is meant to mean but there isn't any "real" zelda dungeons in BotW, only the divine beasts and Hyrule Castle

>nice.png
he's done it.

>He missed the memo from Nintendo where they said BotW was a grounds-up-break-from-tradition type of thing.

>>Boulder Breaker
They make really short work on Stone Talus. Two hits at most on the weakest ones.

One of the worst things about the game.

how do i make money in this game

just go bowling for awhile whenever you want to buy stuff

I don't think it did.

I'm 150 hours into the game and I still haven't found the bowling thing

I hadn't either. Guessing it's in the northwest somewhere.

Sell gems to the Gerudo in Goron City.

>rain is suppose to be comfy
>botw makes it the most annoying thing ever

That's just one of the hundreds of reasons this game sucked. You would think they'd at least give you items or equipment to make climbing in the rain easier, or hell making it a higher set bonus for the climbing gear. This would have been exactly a good moment to have the hookshot too. Hack ass developer.

>who needs dungeons
>who needs music
>who needs a story
>who needs unbreakable weapons
>who needs a world with actual stuff in it

At that point, who even needs a zelda game?

Why isn't there a set of gear that negates the climbing penalty while raining?

rain is why a hookshot or grappling hook of sorts would have been golden, even one with limited durability

buying the house is a scam right?
its empty and useless

Underrated post

I CANT FUCKING STAND THIS GIANT FUCKING TALKING TREE WITH MARACAS

JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP

STOP SMILING YOU FUCKING CUNT

REEEEEEE

you cant move anyone in it or decorate it to your liking. only put up weapons for decoration and thats it. It's ironic, too. The devs know that most of your weapons break, so they give you a literal gallery to give the weapons you dont want to break another purpose: just to sit there and look good.

If you buy all the upgrades, the carpenters throw in furniture.

Also you have to buy it to unlock the Terry Town quest

>cant move anything in the house
>only put up weapons/shields on the walls
>no chest for storage to put your bananas
>homosexuals on your lawn unless you tell them about a wedding
>cant invite people to live with you like an RPG of sorts
>cant even warp to the house

Fucking A nintendo, I just wanted somewhere comfy to sleep when I was low on hearts with the possibility to get an extra temp-heart

missed opportunity desu

>starts thunderstorming
>Put on lightning helmet
>fight a lynel for the first time (white maned) while getting hit by lightning every 30 seconds

>replies ITT
is this something like going outside simulator for ninten babbies?

Dana-na-na-na-na-na-nanaaaaaaaaa

When you're older you'll understand.

Weak.

Yeah, I honestly thought buying the house would lead to some Animal Crossing style home furbishment.

BotW's Rain might just be the ultimate casual filter.

>casual filter
>when it comes at the most inopportune moments
>just build a fire
>rain makes building a fire impossible unless under a roof
>most mountain climbing or open plain areas have no cover, so good luck there

FF XV

Animal crossing for switch when? I want to feel like I have a life

More like you want to feel like your switch purchase actually meant something

If you're good at killing Lynels make potions using their guts. If you're not go hunting in the snowy mountains. Cooking five Gourmet Meats together gets you 490 when sold.

It's literally right underneath a tower in said snowy mountains.

I never played FFXV, is it truly as bad as I hear it is?

I grew up playing VII, VIII, IX, X... Stopped when they went online with XI and never looked back. Then I fell for the XIII meme, thinking it might be like the FF of old.

I can't even tell you how disappointed I was... I don't think I could take another hit of that disappointment.

I'm a Sonyfag who drunkenly bought a bundle (mk and zelda) one night. No regrets so far. I couldn't stand old zeldas but this one is solid

>old zeldas bad but this one is good

No it just means you're a shitty casual that is easily amused

Rain is the comfiest thing ever in BotW tho.

Guilty as charged ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I played it before the updates so I don't know how it is now. I never liked the classic FFs and I liked this one. So if you really like the old ones I don't really think this one is the one for you.

>rains in game
>it's raining in real life outside

>can't pick the waifu of your choice and have her live with you

The rain in ocarina of time feels better than the shit in botw. I think the color palette ruins any comfy feels you get from botw.

>rain
>not reddit weather

Wait how?

...

>Not using fire chu chu jellies
Sad!

>memecenter.com

the house is worth it for the quest that comes afterwards though

most mountains have rocks that jut out just enough to protect you from the rain, trees work as well depending where you are

m.youtube.com/watch?v=-TYt61ywF-M

That's like saying

>if you walk through the desert enough, you may eventually run into water now and again

The best strat when it rains is to just teleport to the nearest tower and set up shop there, then set back out where you came from

I mean... if you keep swinging the leaf the raft eventually speeds up faster than he's going in the video.
Just takes a short while to get going.
