Why are you posting porn?
This is a blue board
What do you mean? This is gore for Sonyfriends.
No one gives a shit about the first thing but the second thing is entirely retarded.
I think this has less to do with localisation and more to do with Capcom putting Monster Hunter on home consoles and not handhelds.
Home consoles are next to dead in Japan and investors know it.
But handhelds are THRIVING in Japan. Switch is a handheld and it's also thriving.
inb4 it was in development before Switch.
Capcom were one of the first to know about Switch. They even got Nintendo to increase the RAM for it.
Capcom has made very few games in the past few years, and one of the games they decide to do is MonHun for consoles. Whoever makes the decisions over there should be fired. They've done nothing but mistakes for several years now.
Tell me things I don't know, user.
That's why I'm hoping that they go under sooner rather than later. They're a shadow of their former self and the upper management is HORRIBLE.
Hoping for a buyout from Nintendo.
>on Capcom not putting MHWorld on
this is fine
>and not localizing MHXX?
less okay with this, I can play with guides but my friends sure as hell aren't going to want to
The Switch can't even handle it's own Zelda, it's not gonna handle World.
Heck even skyrim will need to be downgraded.
Basically these, I don't mind Capcom shifting MH over to other consoles but I do absolutely mind them not localizing a game that we expected to see in the West and that would have actually sold well here. 3U, 4U, and Generations all sold well in NA+Europe combined. They're refusing to localize XX so they can draw attention to World and it's really shitty. People would buy both. These fucking retards running the show need to get a clue.
Btw, the youtube views thing is there because Capcom were bragging about it.
They patched Zelda and Skyrim is the Remastered version with all DLCs. It's officially confirmed.
Next!!
It's okay, let Crapcom reap what they sow
When they see that literally nobody but the PS4 fanbase buys Monster Hunter World and it's still abysmall compared to XX, they will have to switch gears to making a proper MH for switch
If Capcom goes under I hope Platinum's at least able to put an hand on all Clover IPs and DMC
MHW will outsell XX if only because it's actually a new game and not an expansion pack for a piece of shit.
I don't think PS4 fanbase is going to buy MH. They will need to make up for all the lose Japanese sales in the west and I just don't see it happening.
For normies, the MH combat is #1 thing that turns them off by it being "clunky". If the combat in World is still supposedly same, as reassured by devs and "youtubers", how do they plan to entice new buyers?
Not to mention scripted monster interactions, epic uncharted style chases, which will raise concern from veteran players.
Yet they still make money, and their company is literally worth more than ever.
>their company is literally worth more than ever.
source?
>capcom stock was on a steady rise
>suddenly started taking a nosedive after World announcement
Kek
My whole issue is with capcom it looks like any other monster hunter game. From the trailer why are they targeting the west?
Regardless on the switch or not. They have some MH fans upset from the changes they made in the game and are limiting sales in japan as well because its exclusive to ps4.
I mean how are they going to push world says its souls like? There are tons of souls clones coming out as well like Code Vein.
Not saying World will be good or Bad but what target audience in the west is capcom looking for?
>coming to sony and microsoft console
gee i wonder why would it happen
FUCK YOUR KEKSOLE WARS, THIS IS NOW A MONSTER HUNTER THREAD
What is your:
>weapon
>favourite monster
>most hated monster
>returning hopes for World
It may be the remaster but remember how less powerful the switch is shit the PS4 and Xbone versions are STILL only 30fps and they dont even look that great STILL
Not sure
You have people saying that arts and styles were bad but the flashy anime moves are INCORPORATED in the weapon move-sets now. That's suddenly ok? It's trying to be both western (environmental interactions, cinematic chases etc.) and eastern (classic gameplay supposedly intact) and seems to have an identity crisis.
>weapon
Switch Axe
>favourite monster
Switchadrome
>most hated monster
PS4 Kut-Ku
>returning hopes for World
N/A
Who gives a shit what veteran players think when they can just stick to 3U forever?
Capcom has abandoned them long ago starting with 4thGen.
It's MT Frameworks which runs amazingly on toasters weaker than Switch. The more probable cause is that MHW devs are incompetent as seen by numerous instances of clipping and general jankiness.
The game has been indevelopment for 4 years and comes out in March (gamestop release date).
Anyone else feel like the hit effects and status effects in MHW look a bit off? Paralysis for example is so... subdued?
Hitstops are still weak as ever since MHX, and that never changed in MHW.
>Go see Capcom Stores
>That jump in May 25
>Is when MH XX Switch was Announced
>Stocks Started to go down on June 19
>Is when MH World was announced not for Switch
Potery
this is either Capcom being the most retarded company ever with 0 foresight. or that leak is true
Yeah, I love MH but the schadenfreude when MHWorld fails is going to be amazing.
I can only Imagine the meltdown in Sup Forums If at TGS Capcom Announces MHW is also coming to Switch (even if at a later date) Due to pre-orders and general hype for the game are low up to that point
I think Sony might have cockblocked World on Switch. We can only hope for portable series using World assets but traditional gameplay.
I think they took the "Hunter" part of the title too seriously.
Read the investor reports.
Woah they lost 1%
Its clear that the series was originally intended to focus more on the hunting aspects if you play MH1. This is them giving that original concept another shot. I don't see anything wrong with that.
>Yet they still make money, and their company is literally worth more than ever
not even close
The wrong with is them throwing the already action RPG based gameplay formula in the trash instead of keeping it alive while trying something "new" as well.
Give some examples. I see this posted all the time: "a return to form", "just like MH1".
Give me some examples
>not putting MHWorld on Switch
NP, it won't handle it anyway
>not localizing MHXX
They're probably going to announce that shit after the release of MH Stories, because, well, they're still fucking translating MHS probably
the changes. the expansion of the market, in general nothing is bad, but that little part where for no apparent reason they decided to shaft out the part of the userbase that tally for 70-80% of all Mon Hun sales ever (Handheld in Japan)
>The wrong with is them throwing the already action RPG based gameplay formula in the trash
What the fuck are you talking about? Did you watch the stream?
>Platinum's at least able to put an hand on all Clover IPs and DMC
Thank god that shitty company would never do that
Nintendo is publishing MHStories.
Atleast do research before shitposting
>consoles targeting 30 fps
I think none of the consoles can handle it. PC is probably going to be the way to go.
>Nintendo is publishing MHStories.
And? Only Nintendo is translating it? Dumb nigger
>consoles targeting 30 fps
>I think none of the consoles can handle it.
>glorious MT framework
Yeah, sure
twitter.com
Literally what their community manager announced. No need to be mad at me user, just listing facts.
>literally nothing?
There's nothing special about MHWorld. It looks like LP2 and DD combination. MH developers are just incompetent.
Eh, I like DD too but doesn't scratch the same itch as MH, though the new MH looks more like a DD game than a MH game at times.
And, you have reading comprehension?
>I think none of the consoles can handle it.
Consoles can do that, it's fucking MT Framework. Most games even on 360 and PS3 were looking pretty good with stable 30 fps
>Nothing special
>looks like a LP2 and DD combination
Just kill yourself.
Can't believe you niggers are still salty about this, grow up.
That's what I meant. MH used to have a distinct look and mechanics. It just looks generic now.
...
What's the problem? Both games are still looking good, just as MHWorld
...
What
Nintendies are not used to losing, like democrats
30fps on a handheld is barely acceptable as it is, 30fps on a home console? 100% unacceptable. Games like MH benefit so much from 60fps over 30fps.
>not putting MHWorld on Switch
It's fine. I was gonna pick it up on PS4 to play with friends anyway.
>not localizing MHXX
Fucking shitty.
They have been losing for years now though.
wojack.jpg
>why didn't they put a 4 year development game on a recent console
>why?
...
See here Please read the thread before posting.
they could easily have announced it will be on a later date and roll with it
>Games like MH benefit so much from 60fps over 30fps.
I know that, but still with that kind of statement
30fps on a handheld is barely acceptable as it is, 30fps on a home console? 100% unacceptable
you're just fucked in the head
Veterans are happy to play a monster Hunter game with real graphics for a change. Normies love the souls games and it's combat is clunky too.
>expecting games to play smoothly
>fucked in the head
What the fuck
Nintendo has gotten soft. Capcom relies heavily on their yearly Monster Hunter sales to keep afloat, they need Nintendo a lot more than the other way around. Yamauchi would have told them to make a Switch port or they would no longer be welcome on Nintendo systems. Good luck releasing the next MH on the Vita.
>looking at stock prices over the course of one day
Hunting Horn
Devil Bro
Electric Dick
I'm hopeful for a lot of old and new, and a deep end game like many new monsters that show up for the first time past G rank
>stable 30 fps isn't smooth
You actually are
>Thoughts on Capcom not putting MHWorld on Switch
Switch is just too weak
>and not localizing MHXX
maybe, Nintendo starts to localize it
MH is a system seller my nin toddler buddy. It's Japan's Fifa, people WILL buy a system just for it. The moment MH can go on mobile, is the moment Capcom tells the console manufacturers to blow it out of their asses and pay up if they want a port. Capcom doesn't need Nintendo, because as always, only Nintendo IPs sell on Nintendo consoles (handhelds exempt due to near monopoly). MH is one of the few exceptions, because it will sell on anything. Capcom needs Sony and PC to survive, because it needs its other shit to sell too, and its other shit will never sell on a Nintendo console.
Name one console Monster Hunter that broke a million in Japan.
Can I ask an honest question? What do you guys get out of this console war shit? Is it just to make people mad? Are you genuinely that invested in a brand name?
I just don't understand.
How much has Dark Souls 3 sold on all 3 paltforms? Keep in mind that MH4U sold 4.1m copies in total and that was a 3DS title. How much do you think world needs to sell? You think all the normies will buy MH in droves? It's not even on a portable in Japan.
Yeah, Yamauchi would have BTFO Crapcom.
This. The only PS4 game to break 1 million in Japan is FFXV and that barely made it. I love these hypothetical "LOL JAPS AND WHITEYS WILL JSUT BUY MH LOL HARDCORE GAME JUST LIKE DARK SOULS"
Don't care. It's on PC.
I'm just going to allow myself to be baited. Stable 30fps is the MINIMUM that we expect from devs. It is "smooth" in the sense that it is playable. However, devs should always strive to achieve a stable 60fps which in almost all genres of games (other than turn-based games) will enhance gameplay.
If a console is unable to handle 60fps on a game while a PC can, you can bet that I'm going to play it on PC instead. And that's all I'm saying, the PC version will be the better version because it can actually run at 60fps and the other versions are inferior since they have no advantages.
Yeah it's a whole new market, but I'm hopeful it picks up steam. So many people love monster hunter. They just dont know it yet!
Also remember that Crapcom needed RE7 to sell 4 million copies by March 31st but they've only sold 3.5 million so far. They also expect it to sell 10 million copies LTD.
RE is a much more popular franchise in the west than MH is.
:)
kys gaijinhunter
Can someone give me a quick rundown on him?
He is in cahoots with the Bogdanoffs
He makes helpful tutorials for monster Hunter and Capcom has recognized and immortalized him
>stock prices represent the literal value of a company
haha wow
>beats his wife
>on crapcoms payroll
Is it true about all the MH "ecelebs" now shilling for Capcom now and trying to damage control negative things about MHWorld?
>Thoughts on Capcom not putting MHWorld on Switch
I'm starting to give some credence to that Sup Forums rumor that Sony funded MHW. But it could also be because MHW entered development 4 years ago when the Switch was probably a barely-formed idea.
>and not localizing MHXX
Eh, I still think they will. They've already done most of the heavy lifting by localizing Generations.
>It's Japan's Fifa
You're pretty stupid.
Got some numbers to back up this wild claim?
>Hoping for a buyout from Nintendo.
Man, whenever these big 3rd party pubs are going bankrupt you always see people saying
>Nintendo/MS/Sony should buy them!
but that wouldn't make sense. Part of the value these pubs have comes from their experience doing multiplatform development, which Nintendo or Sony wouldn't be able to exploit at all. Hence Nintendo/Sony would not be willing to pay as much as some other company.
I heard a guy talk for 10 minutues about how capcom ruins everything and can't be trusted only to somehow say in his conclusion that you should trust the MH developers anyway cause they have "pedigree" and that the game looks fantastic and will still be "hardcore". If they are not doing it on pourpose then hype hijacked their brain.
Of course it makes no sense. Why the fuck would a Japanese video get a million views in a day when the Japanese rarely use YouTube. I would understand if it got pushed to NicoNico and got high views, but even 2 million in a day is stretching it. Notice how it's still at 2.5 million. The number of views should be much higher if it got a million in a day, and it should have been trending.
