Who wins?
The obvious answer is Xenoblade 2. It has arguably better everything.

Tales are not that good. Their map are bland as fuck, among a few other flaws. The kind of JRPG you run around and can only interact with shit where there're flashing light on the ground. They change combat all the time so sometime it's ok and sometime it's fucking suck, depending on the games.
Xenoblade was at least fun to run in.
>both images are blurred to hell and back
You should fuck off and fix that first before talking.
Why do you keep making these threads?
Oh right, because you're this asshole.

Xenoblade X beats both of them
I've never played any Tales game but I had the impression they were always low budget mediocre titles.
/thread
Xenoblade x has incredible environments.
How come the world in X looks better than ff15 despite running on a toaster?
Too bad the story and gameplay don't back up those environments. And this isn't bait, the world alone was almost enough to keep me playing it. Does it get better?
Beautiful but in game doesn't look like that.
It really doesn't. Sure you can find some nice scenic views but it runs like shit and house sized chunks of terrain and gigantic animals pop up like 5 meters in front of you.
The pop up can be partially remedied by downloading shit to hdd but is still annoying as fuck.
Also scaled down shots with a bit of boosted saturation makes things look better then they actually are.
...
The graphics aren't imbued with strong art which makes the world look too clean and play-do.
I can run XcX and go cherry pick some bland pieces of Oblivia's desert if that's what you want.
Doesn't change the fact XcX doesn't run very well and a lot of people get charmed by the shots like because they see touched up smaller shots that look better than actual game.
>I can run XcX and go cherry pick some bland pieces of Oblivia's desert if that's what you want.
Sure if you don't mind.
Depends on how much they put care on the story.
XCX was not only completely dry in characters and story but it also had the balls to sequel bait just to piss you off.
At least Tales is actually fun to play.
Right on it.
It's a fucking bother that Wii U can't save the 720 shots directly to USB.
Reminder that X is an awful game and the same tiny minority keep boosting it up like it was worth playing and posting the same images. Literally does it for Zelda too to shill Nintendo.
X was fucking awful in almost every way.
It's clear you have no powerful argument.
Tales hasn't been good since Abyss.
>>>implying implications
>It has arguably better everything.
>but it runs like shit
doesn't run very well
Smooth 30 fps 99% of time.
>It's another XB2 shill shilling his PS2 game
Wow that looked bad
Damn, is this a remake of FFXI? I remember grinding in the Crawler's Nest with my buddies back in like 2005 but there were a lot of us there doing skill chains and stuff.
Really nice looking Vita game.
Tales graphics and open world suck, but the gameplay is fun and the story is usually top tier.
Idk about Pedoblade though.
>Smooth 30 fps 99% of time.
Hahahahahahahaha
You never used disc bombs or any other weapon / skill that has biger than miniscule effects right?
There's shitload of things that make FPS drop but disc bombs are special because when you spam those you get FPS turn into SPF.
Look, it's an achievement devs made it work on that hardware but let's not get delusional and claim shit that just isn't true.
Don't expect much from the main story.
The sidemissions are in my opinion the main part of that game. Most of them are really good, varying from light comedy to grimdark, and they build upon the world a lot.

X would of been amazing if it had a good story with interesting characters.
solution: play xenogears and xenosaga
>Try to force FFXV vs XCX
>Now that XCX is old and busted you're trying to force XC2 vs Tales of since there's another Tales game on the way next year
Can you fucking stop
Was the team that made X too busy working on BotW or something? Everything we've seen other than sword-girl's tits and ass has been incredibly underwhelming.
>Xenosaga II
>Anything other than irredeemable garbage
Great, so that means Takahashi's next game is gonna look like Persona.
I'm done, wake me up when we get a true sci-fi experience
Here's that Oblivia.
Resized smaller screenshots really cover the low poly terrain and somewhat awful textures.
Wanted to post link to another shot from NLA but Sup Forums thinks it's spam so let's leave that for the next post.
Remember how exciting the beginning of XC1 was?
>reduce arts from 8 to 4
Blades come with their abilities and you can change blades mid battle, effectively meaning you have more arts/abilities than any previous Xenoblade game.
>turn sci-fi into...
Sci-fi isn't necessarily mechs and alien planets though, Takahashi shines whenever he does fantasy sci-fi as seen with Baten Kaitos (which was better than Xeno in almost every conceivable way
>shonen
Just like Xenosaga and Xenoblade
>moe
Where?
NLA
>since there's another Tales game on the way next year
What?
LOD is obviously shit. But you are comparing a 2013 developed game to a 2017 developed game
Still looks better than that FF screenshot to me.
>>reduce arts from 8 to 4
Wrong
It's increased to 12 but each 4 are on their own mini global cooldown.
You pick the 4 you start with, but you also have two blades in reserve that are on cooldown. When their cooldown is over, you can switch to them, and when you do, all 4 artes will have their cooldown finished, but when you switch out of a blade to a different blade, the previous blade (and thus their 4 artes) goes on cooldown.
It essentially gives you a wider access to a larger variety of artes, along with an elemental affinity added to 4 artes at a time depending on the blade, and lets you go to town with 12 artes in a row, but the drawback is that you won't have access to all 12 at one time, and if you go through all of them at once you're going to have to let your other two blades go through their cooldown before having access to those 8 artes again.
It's a lot more strategic and thought based than the last 2 games.
Fuck off XV fag
Bamco's financial reports for the end of their fiscal year reported that there is a Tales of game that will contribute to sales growth for this current fiscal year. Meaning it's likely coming at the start of next year.
>Where?
Where indeed. Surely not the redhead with kawaii dess face and revealing outfit. Or that blondie with same everything as redhead.
Blind people shouldn't post here.
>I-its not moe! Moe means cute only!
Go on, post something retarded like this. You know you want to.
>Blades come with their abilities and you can change blades mid battle, effectively meaning you have more arts/abilities than any previous Xenoblade game.
By that logic, we can go into our mechs mid battle and use mech arts too. So that's 16 arts right there.
Stop shilling this game. XC2 was designed with the intent to cater to a younger demographic, because Nintendo thinks he brings more money to Nintendo when he caters to children.
I'm not, this user did I just claimed it's false and said those touched up collages make things look prettier than stuff you see in game, that's all.
And that doesn't even show the awful pop up, slow texture loading where you often see close objects still covered in very low res blurry textures and the frame drops.
>By that logic, we can go into our mechs mid battle and use mech arts too. So that's 16 arts right there.
But that's wrong you retard.
There is no delay to switching blades and it's actively encouraged by the fact that they have their own unique cooldown, and switching to them resets the cooldown on all of their artes, including long cooldown artes.
What is inherently wrong with moe?
Xenoblade 2 is going to be the franchise's Other M, it's baffling that people are excited for this game.
>This is an actual character design
>Stop shilling this game.
LITERALLY "stop liking what i don't like"
>Surely not the redhead with kawaii dess face and revealing outfit. Or that blondie with same everything as redhead.
By that extension, given your logic, Xenogears and Xenosaga are moe. Especially Xenosaga.
>I-its not moe! Moe means cute only!
I wasn't going to say this, nice strawman. But you technically contradicted your entire argument by implying Pyra was moe for having a "kawaii desu face" and then turning around and saying cute isn't moe.
Moe is NOT a character design, an artstyle, or a character archetype. That has nothing to do with moe.
>stop shilling this game
See
Xenoblade 2 is going to be the franchise's Awakening.
Hated by a small number of people, but what will ultimately bring the series into the spotlight.
>this unbelievably sexy sword is a character design
Based
Looks like standard Xeno design.
> p-please don't be e-excited for this g-game
Have fun with Knack 2 for the rest of this year.
Guess I need to cherry pick harder.
Takahashi needs to understand that the west doesn't hate sexualization, but rather chest sexualization. The west is an ass region, so ass sexualization is 100% acceptable.
Thumbnails always make the game look good, until you play it and realize this is the actual resolution.
I'm so sick of good games being held hostage behind Nintendo's garbage hardware. It should be criminal
>these are actual character designs
Still looks good man. Really not as bad as those pre-texture loaded environments of FF.
t. Switch owner playing 720p games on a tiny screen
Stop pirating all shit and start buying and devs won't shun your platform that much,.
>good games
Xeno X wasn't a good game though, it just had good environments
Nothing.
You're probably not the one I replied to anyway. I'm just pointing out moe is in the game.
>By that extension, given your logic, Xenogears and Xenosaga are moe. Especially Xenosaga.
Yes of course.
Not "are" though, they "have" it. Xenogears has 2 lolis, Xenosaga has so much from Kos-mos/Tel-os alone, they even have the fucking robot on a swimsuit.
And by the rest of your posts you're obviously baiting. Have a last (you) with lots of moe on it.
Is bottom from a gameplay demo or a trailer/screenshot? I'd like to see XB2 in action.
>Still looks good man.
There's something wrong with your eyes or the level of dedication to your favorite brand.
Care to post some of yours FFXV shots?
>massive world
>literally everything else is shit
>complete downgrade from previous game
Not a good trade.
>Not "are" though, they "have" it. Xenogears has 2 lolis, Xenosaga has so much from Kos-mos/Tel-os alone, they even have the fucking robot on a swimsuit.
Then why is Xenoblade 2 moe instead of just "having" moe? Also just having lolis doesn't make something moe.
Do you even understand what moe means in the first place? Something CANNOT look moe. Moe is NOT a character archetype. Moe is not a character design. Moe, by its Japanese definition, simply refers to an attraction to a fictional character from Japanese media. A moe character specifically, refers to characters who intentionally have written traits meant to invoke feelings of moe from its audience, however this definition is iffy because different people like different character traits.
Pyra cannot be moe since moe is a feeling you have towards fictional characters, and not an actual character design.
Just to show some of the other stuff I mentioned and you never see in screenshots.
This is how things look a lot of times when you go semi fast and Wii U can't load textures fast enough.
Can't show popup because I don't have a capture card and I don't know of any other way to save game play video from Wii U.
That said it's still an amazing game, just not as flawless and miraculous as some anons like to pretend it is.
Disc bombs, if you use 4 at once, are the only ways to drop the framerate significantly m8. /xbxg/ basically discovered it on a whim to make the game chug. There's not many skills that drop it.
why would anyone even compare these. they literally stripped the story away with X and it was still a fun game. tales is just garbage for people that need their anime fill.
>talking just about graphic
You forgot to add there's close to no collision detection for anything than basic terrain so you can fly through a lot of stuff or walk through cars in NLA.
That's a good thing though.
>walking through cars, mechs and flying through sci-fi dinosaurs is a good thing
user please.
Would you rather get stuck on every object in the game world?
I'd rather if the car stopped, honked or flied over me instead of just going through looking like a fucking broken hologram.
This 'tech' was available in PS2 era games already.
I loved Tales of Berseria's world! My favorite area was the open space surrounded by big rocks.
>no collision detection
With holographic cars.
>I don't have a capture card and I don't know of any other way to save game play video from Wii U
Here:
youtube.com
>holographic cars
What a fucking cop out. Where exactly is stated running NLA cars are holograms?
Are your skells/dolls holograms too?
What about those big Everlasting Millesaurs a bit north from NLA?
Let's not make up stories when it's clear that devs had to cut corners so the game could run on underpowered hardware.
All I know is this.
>saving this kind of shit from old threads
You could have pleaded brain damage instead of posting this embarrassing shit.
Just say you can't post anything next time because all of your knowledge of game you're talking about consists of few bait shots from Sup Forums and watching 10 minutes of random let's play on youtube.
What are you talking about, it's me.
Why are you comparing Xenoblade and Tales?
...
Learn how timestamped fotos work newfag.
Also post those FFXV shots.
This retardation won't get you out of that.
> muh secret club rules
I'm just having some fun. Chill out with the autismo rage.
>spends all this time shitposting
>still can't post a single shot he got asked for
Brain damage it is I guess.
That would also explain the FFXV steel book SE.
Does the first xenoblade emulate well on dolphin?
Is there waglan to deal with or am I set with a simple controller?
>Gets this raged over a silly joke
>Not even serious
>S-shots
Maintain that autistic rage sir. Also, the steelbook was used. Got it for cheap.
Honestly, Monolith Soft is second to none to me at bringing out that sense of adventure which I find really rare in this genre nowadays. Maybe Square does it better, but I haven't bothered with them in sometime now and I'd rather wait for the Complete Edition before spending my money on XV. The other games can still be good and enjoyable, but I always laugh when somebody suggests to me anything from Falcom or Scamco nowadays would offer me something more.
>taking bait
user, just stop.
>Maybe Square does it better
not since FF9
Tales of the Abyss >>>>>>>> Xenoblade >>>>> Xenoblade X >>>>>>>> every other Tales game
I assure you square has lost it after FFX
>Tales of abyss better than Xenoblade
Take of those nostalgia goggles user. Abyss was good, but not that good. At least not better than Symphonia, and that's saying something.
