Lets make the levels super fucking big in a game where you die in one hit yeah great idea

lets make the levels super fucking big in a game where you die in one hit yeah great idea

Try pressing your SHIFT key.
Use Tony's mask to bait the enemies by quickly peeking out, and then kill them.

>Try pressing your SHIFT key.
Enemies that are outside your shift range can still shoot at you
t. died many fucking times due to this bullshit after clearing a room with a single window dividing it and a bigger room

Try not being a shitter

Windows were so fucking annoying lol

this
>looking:hmm looks safe
>walk down
>haha nope you're dead fuck you
i still think this game is good but the original is the clear winner in level design
any good level packs made in the editor?

Face it, it's bad level design and it completely kills the flow that the first game had.

Hotline Miami 2 was for people that got A+ in every level of 1.
No wonder shitters have a hard time with it.

It's fine, you're just bad at it

my favorite part of 1 was being stealthy
1: Metal Gear Solid
2: Contra

>it's a "game has bad, unfun level design but because it's supposed to be difficult people will excuse it and claim that you just have to git gud" episode

>lol who cares if they made melee weapons useless for 80% of the game you just suck

Git gud kiddo.
HM2 has better level design and actual balancing on the masks system. No more babbies first mask for you.

Hello shitter, do you not know what peaking is? I'm sorry you're too bad to logically plan out a course of action, you can do most levels entirely with a melee weapon, actually you probably could do every level with a melee weapon

>HM2 has better level design
HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
They turned a stealth game into a fucking run n gun
And Don Juan was better

>stealth game
>Hotline Miami

This shows how much you know about the game.

>HLM
>stealth game
u wot

that's how i played it. you can't just go full force. you have to hide and shit.

>that's how I played it

Stop playing like chicken shit nikka. Analyze the map, memorize where the enemies are and how they generally react, and try to keep the combo chain up and running. Just git gud, son.

Get fucking good

Seriously

>go full force
>ded
>go full force
>advance further
>ded again
>go full force
>advance even further
>ded once again
>etc
That's how I played.
You must be homo.

>played hotline Miami like a stealth game
>didnt go balls to the wall combo stringing gun throwing bat beating dudes through floors

This game wasn't meant for you

>he didn't use Jake for those easy triple kills in hm1

>you have to hide and shit
you're fucking retarded, kid

Jakes mask is tbqh masterrace

>Hotline Miami 2

What the actual fuck happened to the custom maps update?
I was hyped to play more of the game but last time I checked it hasnt came out yet.
Also third game fucking when? Its one of the best indie games series.

It came out a long ass time ago, wtf

;)

git gud fags

Have you considered not being a neo Sup Forums shitter?

It came out a long ass time ago.

DUDE

PLAY AS A SOLDIER

IN HAWAI

IN A GAME CALLED HOTLINE MIAMI

LMAO

>it's another "faggot can't git gud so HM2 is shit" episode
Gettin real tired of this episode.

I have the plat for the first one and I can say it without doubt: hotline miami 2 is literally one of the worst and most disapointing games I have ever played

Not all levels are designed like this though.

>being contrarian

>learning patterns, placements, and exploits is HAAARDDDDDD
Fucking game is a cake walk user. Even on hard. I can understand frustrations when you die cheaply, but it makes overcoming it all that much more rewarding.

Are you retarded or do you not understand the entire concept of the first game?

The entire point was to fucking barge in and murder everything with as little planning as possible. If you had to peak around corners and bait guys to you you were playing the game wrong.

This is a major flaw in the second game.

>They turned a stealth game into a fucking run n gun
The most retarded thing I've read today, congratulations.

seriously? you get bonus points for being reckless in the first game

>I want my games to be exactly the same
I'm sorry you're fucking brain dead and have to sit for 10 minutes to figure out how to go through a level

Hotline Miami is piss EZ wtf are you doing m8

I got the platinum trophy on both of these games and I honestly think they're as good as each other. The "I get shot by people I can't see complaint" is valid but everything else in 2 is bigger for good reason

>sit for 10 minutes to figure out how to go through a level

Just because your father and uncle are the same person doesn't give you an excuse for not knowing how to read user.

>replying to me with memes

Please dont

What good reasons?

The weird thing about HM2 is that the best parts were the sections where you played as Richter -- when the level design was most like HM1: small and tight levels you could get through quick.

So clearly the devs didn't forget how to make good levels, they just decided not to focus on what made the first game great. Baffling.

Also, there is so much talking. Why is there so much talking.

get good you fucking shitter

I honestly think hm2 is some sort of ruse because the whole point of the first game is story doesnt matter and in this one they just shove it on us

OP you are not the audience of that title.

HM1 was made for people like you who just play through it.

HM2 was made for people who want to get S ranks on all the levels.

>The soundtrack is bigger and better
>The narrative is far more involved with more character arcs that branch into each other
>More weapons (I think) adds more gameplay variety and keeps the experience fresh
>Hard mode for people who want a bigger challenge

The thing I dislike about HM2 that ties into OP's complaint is how gun-focused it is. There are too many levels where you're basically obliged to play the whole thing hosing down corridors, sometimes at enemies you can't even see. I do think HM2 improved on HM1 in a lot of ways but that intense, close range hit-and-run melee combat went into the background too much for my liking.

HM2 is literally just lure enemies into a corner and shoot them

HM2 is to HM1 what Lost Levels was to Super Mario Bros.

That's specifically one of the floors I didn't have a a problem with from a design perspective.

I used to keep my finger slammed on the shift key in the first one, I can't get used to how it works in the 2nd game
