There aren't any 50-60 weapons for SAM and RDM, just the level 60 weapons. You can either get the weapon from PoD or there's one from the Heavensward MSQ a little before Nidhogg. MSQ will give you the little cache of armor plus a weapon.

10% damage beating 10% weapon recast time? When the whole point is getting to Midare and Guren ASAP? I really don't think the math checks out on that.

Jinpu is the only one that affects Higanbana's DoT, so yes, you start with it. The time you save by putting up Shifu first isn't worth the time you actually spend doing so.

going jinpu for damage buff then kaiten for higabana yields much more dps the in the long term than going for quicker guren

this is why farm groups are impossible to reliably find. 90% of the dps that got through it once just got lucky with the clouds and were able to ignore the mechanic.

I don't know why the Emperor would be shocked/outraged if it was Gaius though. Gaius failed and the XIVth legion was essentially excommunicated for their failure, so there's no reason why the Emperor would be mad about an ascian using his corpse, considering the dude didn't even care about his son getting killed.

It's possible that it could be Regula since he and the Emperor were supposed to be childhood friends, I think. But Regula dies in a sidestory so who knows if they'd go that route.

It could also be the previous Emperor.
