I don't think a game will ever be this comfy again

I don't think a game will ever be this comfy again.

What game is this?

While not really simmilar in genre I find Wonder Boy to be really cosy.

Underage pls leave

Fable

You can do everything : The game

Are there any games that are similar to Fable?

Peter Molyneux pls go.

Dragon Age Inquisition

I know that feel.

As much as I love this game, doing recent playthroughs of it really shows how bad it is.

How did such a beloved game fail to get a sequel

Okami didn't really have anywhere else to go. Its story was done.

Didn't meet sales expectations, but developed a small, dedicated fanbase. Unfortunately, love isn't enough to get a sequel made.

Gothic I and II are comfy as well

>Unfortunately, love isn't enough to get a sequel made.

Apparently Kamiya had some degree of a plan for a potential sequel. It would have followed Issun.

That said, I agree that the story was complete. I would honestly love a similar game that blends a bunch of cultural elements (like folklore, music, artwork) from some corner of the world into a single game. Okami's the only game I can think of that feels like a "distilled culture" in that way.

op here and i definitely see what you mean, it's clothing/weapon list is extremely small compared to other games, and the "walk to leave and area" is a very frustrating mechanic when combat ensues near any outside exit.
But overall this is one of my favorite games of all time, I am primarily a TESfag but this game has an aesthetic and soundtrack i prefer above all others, even if the gameplay isn't prime it is more like talking a walk in the park than anything to me at this point.

An Issun game would have been pretty awesome. Especially if it took place from his size. We never have enough of those kind of games.

Fuck fable. It'll always give me a bad taste in my mouth with how Peter fucked my childhood dreams up with his lies. I was never more excited for anything

"Ōkamiden, known as Ōkamiden: Chiisaki Taiyō (大神伝~小さき太陽~?, lit. Ōkami Chronicles: Tiny Sun) in Japan, is an action-adventure video game published by Capcom for the Nintendo DS handheld game console. It is a direct sequel to Ōkami, a game released for PlayStation 2, Wii, and PlayStation 3." So, this "never happened", it's a spinoff or what?

All the abusing that you can do aswell, buying gems and reselling them for profit FROM THE SAME VENDOR and all the combat multiplier abuse methods

Your Health is Low. Do you have any potions or food?

WHAT'S THAT?!

The Fable series could have been good if they just
got Peter Moneleux's crazy ass away from it.

I just wanna say its because the game is so old, but lionhead only went downhill from there, on this topic is there a game more representative of brits and their culture? another reason why i kind of like it

you can say that about 2 and three and up, but please when you see fable 1 just look at it as a family photo, the way things were, the way things could have been, the way things will never be again

This 10x

the only thing worse than this on the same topic is the absolute effort the dev team put out to pressure the player into completing the main quest the whole time, only to be met with a closed ending not once in vanilla but a second time in its re-release, probably my biggest complaint is about the closed ending though, closed ending suck ass, im at the part where i just finished killing twin-blade and im side-questing farming xp and every single npc i run into even plebs and traders will be like "go see maze in the guild hall"
its like wtf lionhead? i gave you my money
how i play your game does not affect you, why try to steer your players in a direction, especially in a single player game?

>closed ending
?

by this i mean you cant play after you beat the boss, you have to load a save beforehand if you want to run around/fool around

You can play after defeating the last boss aslong as you sit through the credits

uh IIRC you could, at least for the good ending, been like a decade since I played tho

Kingdoms of Amalur

Why did TLC change Jack's voice, anyway? I liked that it sounded weaselly and opportunistic in the original. Changing it to generic, obviously slowed down to sound more like the cliched demon voice was dumb.

Everquest

>Implying you can't make a whole game out of rebuilding the shattered remains of fucking Heaven

Except you can. Explicitly. The credits are long as fuck but you can absolutely continue playing after you beat the game. In fact, if you're Evil and put on Jack's mask, he writes an entry in your journal. In the original game, if you took the Evil ending, you could run around with the broken as fuck Sword of Aeons. Shit had 550 damage in vanilla, and got reduced to 230 in TLC so you didn't easymode through the new content.

literally didn't know this, thank you fellow anons

>22 Cans
>To date, 22 Cans has sold early access on multiple titles including Godus, Godus Wars and The Trail. As yet, despite three years of quoted development and a large Kickstarter[20] for Godus, no projects have left early access.

Is this accurate?

I would go back and play this if you could play as a girl too. I would also go back and play Fable 2 if it had a fucking PC release.

>When there was that Inside The Cube tapper game and some dude won who was supposed to be the king of Godus and get some money or whatever and then that never happened and everything went wrong and Godus ended up basically being abandonware with like 1 guy working on it.

What a ride

really? im about to pirate it if this is true

I dont ever play as a girl but i agree with both of these, if they would have mad a playable grill hero in anniversary that would have sold them way more copies, same for pc fable 2
now i dont have a jacked up rig but my pc cant run this shit and its xbox original tier graphics at all, i know its nothing special but i would still play it if it was optimized better

to a degree, the combat is slower and you cant just go around killing anyone or stealing everything but its still fun if you like story and making builds and some lite rp
