Now this is a little better than what people normally say, but you will have to elaborate a bit. There are less survival mechanics such as, managing inventory and stats, but I beleieve that most of those stats didn't serve much point to begin with. Most O/S upgrades and Psionic skills are useless to begin with, and all weapons types are downright inferior to standard weapons. Bioshock on the other hand has weapons that actually feel different, and the Plasmids have enough variety to change how you play. Plus Gene tonics still exist in place of Stats and O/S upgrades.

I feel Bioshock may be easier, but is in fact much better suited for a more varied playthough.

I haven't actually played SS2 yet, I'm just parroting what I've heard on the internet. Hopefully someone who's played both games can back me up with actual arguments so we can get a good discussion.

The reason I say Tuchanka, is that it's the only time a game has made me fell like human garbage, and I bring it up every time a discussion on player agency and moral choices come up. The way it was handled was genius; you get a ton of chances to back off, but if you still insist on sabotaging the cure you - the player - have to physically pull the trigger yourself.

The only other game that has given me a similar feeling was my first playthrough of New Vegas. I blew up the BoS bunker, and Veronica - who I'd been with for most of the game - got mad and left, but she still had my items, so I had to kill her to get them back. After that I felt truly alone, with no interest in doing anything other than just finishing the main quest.

I highly reccomend it. People aren't lying when they say SS2 is a good game, even if they let a bit of nostalgia get the better of them. Just note that if you ever do play the game, do not invest in the Repair Stat, it is the only one that is actually useless.
