Games that have NO right being as good as they are.
I've no idea if the Gamecube or PC version are any different, but I just got out my old PS2 and put this fucker in, there is no other HP experience like this absolute gem. The music, the atmosphere, the sounds, everything. Honestly blown away by how good the graphics are for ps2 in some areas of the game. This game is, dare I say it, Magic
I played it on PC and its one of my favourite games. Got stuck as fuck on the Aragog level tho
Jacob Watson
The Cube version was fun, but it had cards that could only be obtained by linking it with the GBA version. That was a shame.
Jaxson Carter
I got stuck in the Weasleys garden at the beginning and stopped playing it.
Anthony Butler
Honestly, pulling back the years of praise this game got, there really was no reason to expect it would be good, let alone a gold standard for licensed tie-in games.
Adrian Roberts
Are u talking about ps1 version?
Noah Russell
Played this aswell, holds up. Web swinging is just so much fun, and you can level your Spidey up to add these combo moves, which serve no purpose other then to make him do acrobatic style shit in the air, and it is god tier.
Jayden Parker
i can't remember anything about it but i remember really liking it and being too stupid to beat it
Jackson Torres
anons, give me the realness
I've just found Crash Wrath of Cortex
I can't remember if this was terrible, or amazing
Easton Flores
The gameboy color game wasn't half bad. It was pretty damn good, though the part when you first get to hogwarts is frustrating as fuck.
Connor Taylor
No ps2 version. I was just 6yrs old and dumb.
Jacob Ramirez
Is there a "best version" I got it on Gamecube and performance seemed fine. But that was a while ago.
Jackson Sullivan
Level 1 is okay, everything before and after it is either boring as fuck or just bad.
Music was nice.
Liam Reed
holy shit I remember that one, I never completed it because of the exact thing you're talking about, you get to hogwarts and it goes fucking mental
Josiah Jones
The GC version was actually rather different from what I remember. It's been 15 years so maybe I'm talking out my ass, but I remember GC running at 60 vs ps2/ Xbox running at 30, Hogwarts was far more open in the PS2 version, whereas the GC had specific zones that had loading screens, and I think the levels were even different from each other. And yet both are still really good. PoA gets an honorable mention for also being a good movie game, every game after that was pure trash.
Jayden Thomas
join this discord to talk about video games n shit discord.gg/E4hKey
John Jenkins
He's talking about the gnome throwing part. Man this game was good
Camden Parker
I always wondered what was on the other side of the tree log that falls.
Caleb Morgan
HP2 on ps2 was amazing, but fuck those loading times.
Caleb Reed
the King Kong game.
Jason Lewis
The GBC HP games are rly fun imo
Ian Flores
Theres no reason a tennis rpg should be this fun.
Dylan Richardson
Forgot the fucking image.
John Sanders
i loved the gameboy versions of 1 & 2. so amazing.
Joshua Wood
The original was a low-budget cashgrab of a game aimed at people who couldn't wait for GTA4, which somehow made enough money for a sequel with shit voice acting, no radio, an empty map, and no multiplayer. Most people bought it because it was $5 and all the other PC sandbox games ran like shit. It's still 2010's GOTY.
Justin Flores
...
Benjamin Reed
HOLD UP TS2 was fantastic and it had every right to be. Also there will never ever be an fps that good ever again.
Robert Jenkins
what made this shit so good?
Jackson Wilson
ok den
Dominic Hughes
...
Cooper Gutierrez
well it is an 'underrated ps2 era hidden gem' game, so
Aaron Kelly
>timesplitters 2 >hidden gem what
Robert Thompson
>Ps2 era >6 years old
Fuck off underage retard
Lucas Scott
the game sold like shit, just like its sequel
Jeremiah Lopez
Yeah. I vaguely remember the PC version from childhood. No idea how good it was now but I remember how much it really added to the whole thing.
>Exams for every class >Collectibles with flavor text >Decent boss fights
Fuck its time for a replay.
Xavier Nguyen
>anons in this thread trying to compare any other version of chamber of secrets against the ps2 version >soon they'll be claiming the pc version of Spider-man 2 is as good as the ps2 one
Josiah Watson
Come on man, I'll suck timesplitters dick until the day I die but the series is anything but a hidden gem. It's the best FPS of that generation
Isaiah Lee
PS2 Era Sims Games, along side the early handheld Sims Games. I've no idea why they're so good they just are
Christian Phillips
If only the tacked on multiplayer wasn't such absolute ass.
Nicholas Ortiz
Not that guy but low sales don't make it underrated. Maybe at the time it did, but it's rated highly enough now. Granted, it's still worth posting in itt because most people haven't played it
Christopher Davis
The GBC games are good as well.
Eli Myers
every rance game
Lincoln Parker
Holy shit this game is my jam. Speed+power all day, you dont need skill or fancy tricks if you hit hard.
Also fuck playing against mario in singles.
Cameron Walker
...
Asher Foster
Pc and console version are very different Console versions are like gta hogwarts
Wyatt Hughes
Superior Medabots GBA game coming through.
Michael Scott
I remember being a little ways into it, but my TV was shit and no matter what I adjusted it was too dark to see on the grounds at night. Had to stop playing
Zachary Reyes
>Bustin' out >sims 1 >sims 2
Pets was shit though
Isaiah Watson
Should I get this or 3?
Dominic Walker
get both on summer sale
Cooper Torres
The original was great. Relatively new with its mechanics put together the way it was. Bad acting but a good story (something i miss from the sequels). Tight gameplay with not too much or too little to do. Didn't feel like a collectathon but with just blowing stuff up constantly.
Granted JC2 was better received, but I preferred 1. JC2 had better character gameplay but that was it.
Joshua Scott
the PC version was an entirely different game from the PS2/Xbox/GC which was different from the PS1 version which was different from the GBC version which was different from the GBA version.
Same goes for the 1st and 3rd books as well, but no GBC version of Azkaban.
That's 14 different games and the craziest thing is they were all good.
Zachary Edwards
Oh god I just put Sonic Heroes in my ps2, I don't know if I'm playing the greatest sonic game ever made or the worst, I can't tell yet
Xavier Moore
Played this on gamecube, one of the greatest licensed games of all time. Being able to run around Hogwarts is too much fun. I'd kill for a game that spans all 7 years.
Adrian Nguyen
Greatest. Tutorial is no indicator of the game.
Carson Ramirez
>PS2 Read some reviews, the PS2 version has a lot of issues the Gamecube version didn't have. It'll definitely affect your experience.
Jeremiah Evans
kamidori totally has the right to be good
any game where you fuck a golem containing your mother's soul you shaped out of mud with your own hands is a quality experience by default
Jeremiah Campbell
Azkaban on 'Cube was great too but Goblet of Fire wasn't so good as it was mission based which killed the open-Hogwarts feel the first two created.
Fuck, feel like downloading them now. Been years. Was The first movie's game on Gamecube worth playing?
Jayden Cook
that and you couldn't freeroam outside the school fucking disappointment, I wish the ps2 version would emulate well
Blake Lee
It´s a cult hit, not a hidden gem
Chase Cooper
Used to love doing the search mission on the house bounty board
Jason Thompson
The levels are a mixed bag the platforming based ones are all really good, but the other ones tend to sway towards shit
Jace Myers
Fuck you for making me remember this game and its absolutely amazing soundtrack, I'm going to feel nostalgic for this game throughout the entire day now
Alright, been playing Sonic Heroes for a while now
Why on earth do people want SA3 and not another heroes? This is superior in every way shape and form, not trying to start some sonic war, but this controls so much better then both adventure games, maybe only heroes side is good and like most sonic games, the other characters are shit and play terrible?
Jeremiah Bailey
Ooh... I bought the PS2 trilogy and remember I had fun with it. Too bad the last one bugged out and I couldn't make it to end. I also remember Hermione constantly complaining she was poisoned by some enemies all the time and how frustrating stealth missions could be, though.
Tyler Cruz
First game I ever personally owned rather than a shared family one and looking back it's fucking amazing
The powerups are cool, the train minigame is pretty good, the music is catchy, and the Pluto hunting minigames are fucking amazing
>tfw nobody will ever figure out how to rip this game's music
Adam Torres
The other characters feel like they're just treading the same ground over and over. They have slightly different gimmicks, but they're mostly samey. But then again, the gameplay is fun enough.
I don't think they can make another game as good as heroes though
Brandon Stewart
You're going to be playing the same levels over and over again with no significant differences.
Elijah Powell
>nobody will ever figure out how to rip this game's music sounds more like you just don't know how to search for it
Hunter Ortiz
2 had an edgier, more memorable story, new characters people actually liked introduced, and that chao garden thing
i've also got retarded memories of playing SA2 versus mode with friends and screaming the battle quotes at each other, while heroes is just barely outside of my nostalgia zone
Carson Richardson
Here, have another TRUE hidden gem, any of you fucks play this one? This game was the definition of magic, just this random fucking world
The only uploads people have of the music are recorded from VBA/the actual GBA featuring sound effects, the game doesn't use the sappy engine that most GBA games do and nobody who ever did individual game rips for ones that don't have sappy never made any sort of tutorial for people who don't know how
eat shit
Ethan Kelly
wouldn't really call it underrated, but damn if I didn't have a blast with this game as a kid
Jace Evans
this game made up for the prequels
James Adams
FUCK i remember this game in passing when i was younger also reminded me of this one i played once then lost the disc
Jayden Stewart
MORE DROIDS FOR THE SCRAP HEAP
Connor Smith
i played the gba version relatively recently and its a very memorable pretty good game,i doubt its the same as the ps2 version so i should definitely check that game out at some point
Luis Price
Does anybody remember this one? Not ps2, ps1, this as a child, was the most horrifying game to ever exist, because it was that type of not resident evil in your face scary, but just cartoonish enough for you to play, but also I'm going to die alone in my room kind of vibes
I wish there were more documentation on ripping GBA music. The entire community just died. The GBA may have had a turd of a sound chip but nostalgia is nostalgia.
Jaxson Gomez
does this still hold up?
haven't played it since 2005, and I wonder if this was actually a shitty game, made good by my kid standards
James Lee
Anakin's death scream is forever ingrained in my memory >HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUAGH
Caleb Kelly
How is it compared to the GBA one? I used to play that one constantly as a kid, even though I had never played tennis in real life.
Joshua Garcia
3 runs like shit on any rig, so just go for 2.
Owen Robinson
I remember that game being brutally hard for some reason. I may have just sucked back then, but I remember being really stressed out while playing it. It wasn't terrible, but not amazing, especially after following up SA2.
Isaiah Roberts
If you really want a reason to kill yourself, play this on PC.
Not quite sure if this counts as underated but this game is glorious
Julian Collins
Sup Forums
Rayman 3 Hoodlum Havoc
Is this worth a play?
Henry Bell
Definitely
Christian Reed
Yup. Was really fun. Use to play it with my sister, taking turns every we died.
Lived the little power ups and that spooky "I shouldn't be wondering around at good time of night" atmosphere.
Noah Hernandez
Not as good as 2 but still interesting
Levi Torres
>game came out in 2002 >being 6 in 2002 would make you 21 did you forget to take your pills today grandpa?
Ethan Rodriguez
can you do basic math or what
Noah Watson
The Sorcerer's Stone on GC was made AFTER the Chamber of Secrets and it made quite a few quality updates, namely being able to free roam Hogwarts with no loading zones.
One notable thing I've noticed is that the atmosphere is almost 'too' engrossing; almost all outdoor areas have no music at all, making you feel like you're really in the middle of a forest.
The biggest downside I'd say is that the ending (after beating the final boss) is a huge copout and laughably bad but it honestly doesn't detract from the experience. (Weirdly enough, I think the credits play any music either, but I could be misremembering.)
Would recommend/10
Aaron Foster
THIS SHIT RIGHT HERE NIGGA
Jaxon Stewart
I remember owning the PS1 versions of SS and CoS, then buying the trilogy on PC, and I swear the PC version for SS and CoS were the same as the PS1 version with some stuff cut and added here and there and PoA is definitely the same as the PS2 and GC versions, while the GC versions of all 3 are totally different. I really want all the madness to be documented as its an amazing clusterfuck of different versions spread out through so many different platforms, and the best part is that indeed each version has its charm and quality.
Kayden Richardson
...
Easton Scott
this looks like it'd be a parody video game box prop in a tv show
James Powell
I remember way back when this came out my normie friend who didnt really play a lot of video games brought this over and i was real hesitant to play it but was then blown away by how good it was and the versus was pretty good.
