why are ASSFAGGOTS still so popular?
they're all repetitive as hell and get boring after a few weeks.
Why are ASSFAGGOTS still so popular?
Because they keep getting updated, the meta changes making they feel fresh.
But some people dont like and thats ok
Because normies don't play video games for extended periods of time like we do, user.
They have other things in their life so when they sit down to vidya they're not looking for complex entertainment, they're looking for shallow PRESS X TO AWESOME bullshit like Overshit.
>League games are 40+ minutes long
Some games are fun to play AND watch, ASSFAGGOTS falls into that category
>HotS more viewers than DotA2
The fuck?
I remember reading a paper comparing Dota and LoL to slot machines in vegas and gambling addiction. I can't find that paper now, but it basically said those guys we all know who do nothing but play ASSFAGGOTS all day are psychologically the same as those poor suckers who sit at slot machines all day.
The secret is they're not repetitive as hell, and they don't get boring after a few weeks. They don't get boring after 10 years.
The real reason is because these games are essentially normie socializing simulators. As you notice, they're all team-based and have brainless gameplay. People who play these games basically just wanna have fun with friends.
A few weeks? Try a few hours idiot
I enjoy them but I couldn't tell you why.
>le mobas are casual meme xD
I know it's hip to hate these games here and since you so desperately try to fit in you say dumb shit, but the reality is that Dota 2 has more depth and strategy than any other fucking game you shitters play
why are you surpised that the garbage blizzard made in 5 minutes is better than dota?Maybe they should remove the 300ms from every character so it actually feels fun
>RTS with one unit
>hard
Because they're sports.
(unironically though)
they run on toasters
>over 200,000 people are watching some faggot or another walk a guy across a field at 4 mph for half an hour RIGHT NOW
How many RTS games have 100+ factions to choose from at the start of the game in millions of different combinations of 5?
They are casual in the sense that LoL and Dota 2 are the two most popular games in the world.
>dota
It's fun to watch and requires a lot of skill and knowledge usually
>lol
It's meta is actually interesting now and 10 champ every game is a ded meme
>HOTS
I don't comprehend
>PU Battlegrounds
pukingmarisa.jpg
>MOBAs
>fun to watch
>implying your opinion on other games like PUBG even matter
Jesus christ.
1 (ONE) Unit
they don't require the hand-eye coordination that shooters do
they don't require the multi tasking abilities that RTS do
they don't require the tech-skill and mindgames that fighting games do
they don't require good reaction times
they're basically the game for people who couldn't git gud in any other game.
That they are team games makes it always possible to attribute success to yourself and losses to the team (hence the toxic communities) making them ideal to protect ones self-confidence.
In the same way that facebook attracts more users than, say, wikipedia, so does the gameplay of "click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click" attract more players than anything else.
It's the lowest common denominator, it's the easiest way to feel like you're good at something. Though, I guess aim-assisted console shooters could challenge that assertion.
