Picked this up and not sure how I'm liking it. Thinking of refunding it only because it's surprisingly easy. I didn't get a game over until the sixth boss and at this point I don't even know if I want to continue. Aren't there only 9 bosses? If so I almost breezed through 2/3rds of the game and I haven't even reached the 2 hour limit yet.

There is an hardcore mode user. And there is training too. It's not just finishing the game.

What's changed in the hardcore mode? Is it just you take more damage, they have more health, or a combo of both?

Dunno, I never finished the game.

Enemies get an improved moveset

Completely different attacks and patterns. It's actually NOT artificial difficulty.

Different patterns, different attacks.
The health is the same, for what I remember.

You're lying or thoroughly read the encounters before taking them on. There are mechanics that you definitely could not have figured out on first try.

I am . I knew that they didn't use artificial difficulty. Their game is too more serious, I have to motivate myself and finish it.

Are you joking? People can be better than you at things, user.

The second difficulty isn't that much better OP, most of the shit that didn't challenge you most likely still won't and if it does it will be like a single phase usually.

The game gives you like 7 lives before a game over there's nothing unreasonable about what he said.

The 6°, 7° and last boss are the hardest in my opinion. But if the game didn't already got you I doubt these bosses will change things.
Personally it took a while for me to finish the game but I liked it for other things rather then difficulty, and was hooked on it almost from the start.

its only gives you three lives actually
it just depends on how good you are in taking out enemy health before dying

This game is a mockery.

>kotaku
LOL

I didn't get a game over until the 8th boss.

II read that criticism. Ho shit, why people think it's rational to complain about non artificial difficulty?

>it's hard because it doesn't let you auto-win for pressing parry or roll with 50000 invuln frames and mashing like a retard.

What?

I remember reading this article after beating the second boss that the writer so heavily complained about in 2 tries. I was so frustrated even reading it, the notion never dawned on them that the difficulty of the game could be way fun for a player who is just naturally more skilled at games than them

Furi first playthrough is nothing more than big ass tutorial.

Then you unlock Furier.
And you will cry.

>*the wrong kind of hard* rather.

No change at all to health or damage, just new and harder attack patterns.

>more skilled
In the vast majority of situations it's not about "skill", but about the willingness to even try. If you honestly tried to overcome a challenge you could (Furier was this for me at first), but many people don't actually want to try, or play the game for that matter. They just want the game to roll over and tell them that they won.

She sounds like someone who doesn't actually want to play videogames, doesn't care for the challenge and is really just a washed up college student trying to squeeze some bucks out of being a "female game journalist".
