i shiggy diggy
>he has never seen a good movie
what are you? 12?
damn look at this tough guy.
how big is your dick my man?
must be pretty huge.
No, he's not. I played through FF10 for the first time last year and even though I knew exactly what was going to happen I still cried a little.
i've cried from anime deaths, i cried once from a movie death (mufasa when i was like 6), but i have never cried from a video game death. its because death in games is meaningless - you die hundreds of times in many games and kill for greater than that number by the end of the game, so the permanence of the characters lives means little to nothing.
that being said, i've cried from joy playing games at least once - the end of okami got me good last time i beat it
>crying from characters dying in the moving pictures either
lmao actors are chosen based on brand power and how much they look like the character in the novel they're badly adapting
name a death you cried over so we can laugh at you
>a good movie
No such thing, literally inferior to theater in every way.
...
What makes crying over one fake person dying more acceptable than crying over another fake person dying?
>a bunch of dorks playing pretend and we're supposed to act like the red ribbons are blood and we cant see the stage hands
no matter how hard they try they can never actually rise above pic related
The problem with video game adaptations is that Hollywood doesn't take it serious from the get go, so it rarely stands a chance.
They either try to do a straight conversion, like aping Residents Evil Curraazzy style from RE4 onwards in the movies. In fairness that does often make those movies so bad that they're good.
Then we have the recent Ass Creed movie, like why didn't they just make it about a dude fighting the templars? They really didn't need all that animus shit to clog up the story. Make it simple and build outwards from there.
The other problem that can happen is studios just throwing any shit together and slapping it with the video game licence. Think of the Mario Bros movie, the later Mortal Kombat movies, or anything by Uve Boll.
They don't understand the material, that's the common thread with all game to movie conversions so far, in my opinion.
Black man here. Do white guys really cry over videogame character deaths? Pffffft
pathetic, no wonder you're all becoming little sissy girls
black man here, it's possible to have emotions and not be a sissy.
White guy here, how many shops have you held up today?
To Uwe Boll's credit, I've heard that his Postal movie was everything a Postal movie should be, for better or for worse.
FUCK OFF PISS OFF
SOON
I haven't seen it.
But I did see Alone in The Dark.
I wish I hadn't.
>can't even engage in casual banter without retards crying "go back to Sup Forums"
Sup Forums really has gone to shit
>Says racist shit
>Cries when the same is done to him
Gee what's it like being a hypocritical faggot?
You're damaging this board, even if being ironic.
New IP, it isn't the same guy.
I cry every time I've read or watched The Outsiders
...
You really are a shut-in
Not video games
>nobody ever shed a tear over a video-game character's death
fuck you
John Marston is the only recent videogame death I can think of that had a strong emotional impact in general. It was done pretty well.
There are other games that are pretty emotional but they tend to not have much in the way of mechanics. (Telltale style, walking sim, etc.)
>a good movie is one where people die
Not true
I AGREE Sup Forums never posts about video games
YOU NEED TO BE SHUT BACK INTO Sup Forums
THIS FUCKING Sup Forums AT IT AGAIN.
>implying you didn't cry like a baby
The opening for The Last of us really got me.
[Spoilers]Probably cause my dad passed away around the same time[/spoilers]
No, YOUR posts aren't video games. YOU are false flagging and turning the thread into something it doesn't need to be turned into. Fuck off
>when you dish out race bait but can't take it
I cried at:
Gran Torino
Altered States
Fargo Season 3
Birdman
and probably a lot of others I can't remember.
You should get into good movies.
I cried when Xion died. I cried when Roxas fused with Sora.
not gonna lie every time i see freedomwriters i cry like a little bitch. even if half the movie is holocaust propaganda for jews.
Was your dad a cute loli?
Stop feeding the trolls
That is actual autism user I'm not even trying to be funny.
wtf he never even implicated that? Who are you quoting?
Games have surpassed film
I believe I got emotional at the end of skies of Arcadia, it ended exactly how I wanted it to and it was fantastic
My bad
No, I watched him die in my arms
watch it. not only is it uwe bolls "best" movie.
its actually a legit good movie.
its classics tier easily. it has memorable qotes, great characters, vern troyer and great humor you might not actually notice at first glance.
Ah man. Lee was my boy. That shit was tough.
Even when he got bit, I made the decision to cut off the arm, and I legit thought Lee would be fine.
Walking Dead did a fantastic job making me care about the guy.
nigger, fuck off back to if it bothers you.
There, it's against the rules
here, its encouraged.

I'm just taking the piss out of the notion that characters dying in a story is a good way to make it touching.
>not crying when the Boss died
JUST
>retards can't detect obvious baiting and shitposting
By falling for obvious bait, you're shitting up the board as well.
ive seen all of those and have never been closing to crying due to media consumption
>Not crying for every game you play
>Not crying for the fact we even have video games
>Not crying when daddy finishes inside you
Maybe you're a sociopath or emotionally numb like 80% of Sup Forums?
That doesn't change the normal reaction of a human being to experiencing a emotional movie
H-haha
This is a shitpost thread, user.
I have the courtesy to sage and derail.
How about you?
>>Not crying when daddy finishes inside you
What kind of fucked up family do you come from?
You always thank your dad for the gift of his seed in your boi pussy you ungreatful little shit.
There's a difference between having emotions and being an insufferable emotional wreck
>the theatre
Inferior to hunting with your boarhound in every single way
Honestly the OP post seemed like it had a chance of developing interesting discussion, but you're right.
