Depends on who writes it and what the tone is like.
They'll probably either give it to IDW or do it in-house since they refused Archie a few years ago.

Yeah, I know they shot down Archie's proposal some years ago. The pictures I'm posting were part of that proposal. And besides Peach's derpy looking face on the first one, it didn't look half bad.

This takes it too safe, it's too sterile, it takes the setting and characters too literally. It's sort of like an uncanny valley effect, but with Mario. Every decent story-based Mario spin-off media has only used Mario to experiment with their own ideas. Mario's world is a backdrop for exploring your own kinds of themes, stories and jokes, the characters should designed, written, and arranged in ways you find amusing, even if it's not totally accurate or on-model. You can do whatever you want with Mario's setting, use the games' plots and take them in different directions, be creative. Archie's attempt is just boring.

But I do like how with their Kirby pitch, they went with a 90's style. It would probably work better for comics.

obviously i know that but what i'm saying is its still sad that the comic is getting canceled. we don't know if the characters will interact with each other in mania like they did in the comic.

I like Peach as a feminine, emotional, and sensitive woman. Capable and clever too, but traditional, dainty, demure, gentle, and sweet. I do like her in that comic, but it just isn't the kind of character she works best as.

Save the "fiery princess" thing for when Mario finds a new romance in Sarasaland.

Sometimes, yes. She can adventure to, she can get mad, but she has to do it in a Peachy way. SMRPG, Paper Mario, M&LSSS, and TTYD portray her perfectly. Mario x Rabbids does not.
