Killed Tech TV

>The internet killed most of their shows and the rest weren't interesting enough for anyone to care.

>Three hours of cops? Oh boy!

Reruns of Cops and American Ninja instead of actual tech related material

The Sess got addicted to smack.

>The internet killed most of their shows
wut, didn't g4 kill most of there shows i remember they tried to turn it into a Spiketv clone

ceo didnt know anything about video games

it would be cool to have a video game tv channel

like cnn but video games

like ign but on tv

I use to watch the shit out of the show that was just 30 minutes of pure gameplay

listen to the Kevin Pereira podcast about it, it'll tell you all you need to know about that trainwreck

Got a summery?

they ran out of money, people were fucked over and cops was the only thing keeping the network afloat

He meant the internet killed the appeal/point of the shows. Everything G4 did could easily be found on the web. No point in tuning in one hour a day to hear tech/nerd talk when Youtube is filled with it.

long story short: the higher up killed tech tv's fragile niche by ignoring their base, licensed trash TV masked the holes so no one could see the impeding crash, and then everything died when the major personalities were basically told to fuck off.

Sessler shaved his head and went around promoting the doxing of people he disagreed with

>born in Berkeley, California
figures

Also started doing meth

AoTS was great to watch after getting home from school and Movies That Don't Suck on weekends was a godsend because Toonami wasn't brought back yet and first time I watched Commando was because of that.

not enough ultimate banzuke

And banging trannies.

They stopped giving a fuck about video games and aired shows that had nothing to do with video games.

Granted, they did have shows on the network that were non-video game related (Ninja Warrior (not that garbage american version) and those tech shows for example) but the main theme (from what I remember) was video games.

Killed ZDTV

FUCKING COPS RERUNS

Oh god. I watched 12minutes of that and had to stop.
I forgot how much I missed techtv and G4 when they were first sprouting. I didn't even remember I had a fucking forum account on G4.

Cinematech? Man there was something magical about watch random ass trailers and gameplay on the tv...
