Not her game.
My experience with it so far after 70 minutes
>Game gets all coy with how there will be no autosaving I even started
>Have no idea what I am getting into
>Literally dumped into oldschool bullet hell game
>With a few scrapes and not knowing what I am doing I manage to get to the first boss
>Die
>Have to start all the way back from the opening cutscene
>Fuckthat.jpg
>Drop down to easy and and autochip my way through
>After I finally save, I bump back up to normal then look up a 35 minute video on how to actually play the damn game
Going well so far.
Are you an ass man?
starting automata in hardmode is a really bad idea, you die in 2 hits from anything and the bullet hell section is really difficult, also you don't have many healing items. once you're in the open world and are able to save, going back to hard is a good idea.
also yes, totally worth it.
I started on normal, I just suck.
Yeah, just know that the first ending isn't the end. I bought it in the steam sale and finished it a few days ago, its kind of a shame that most of the discussion on it has all died out though.
>Is her game worth $42?
No unless .
Platinum games barely worth past half of their non-sales normal prices.
It is my GOTY very close to persona 5.
oh.
Can I get that sentence again in English?
Is this game anything like Dark Souls?
It's worth $60 desu
Can this game run on a GTX 750 Ti?
what?
First play through: Oh Yeah well ok..
Second Play through: YES HACK ALL THE FUCKING THINGS
Third Play through: OH FUCK YES SHIT GOT REAL
I'm currently going back to finish up the DLC / Grind to get all the trophy's
Sup Forums was like 25% Nier for a month. We still get frequent threads but most of the serious discussion has already been had a dozen times over.
Definitely, unless $40 is a major decision for you, then keep it ya sad sack.
Post 2D 2B.
>grinding to get the trophies
>not talking to you-know-who
>buying games
>Feeling of achievement instead of throwing out mad dosh to get a trophy
>Will probably grind cash to just get the trophys
...
Whoa, what kind of cartoon is this from?
I just beat it after pirating it
It was fantastic, I'd say so.
But oh well.
*his game
Just realized I was beaten to the punch ages ago, so fuck me. I believe it's worth it OP. I payed full price for it and loved every second of it.
No.
Well now I'm convinced.
>the bullet hell section is really difficult
oh i am laffin
I got it running at around 35-45 fps if you get the far mod and turn down the lighting to medium from ultra which is the default
Shh, 2B is sleeping!
Why is 2B so BRAP?
Why is she sleeping with her goggles on?
No, its worth $60
WAKE UP ANIKI
I fucking loved it
Her ass gets distracting after a while though, especially since you have to run a lot and when you run the camera drops down slightly so you can see it bounce in you face.
Yes, this game is a great ride.
pascal ;_;
...
Functionally that fight was kinda shit, but it was too fucking cool for me to care.
Mechanically it reminded me of the very final bit of the final boss of MGS4.
imo not enough content. wait for 75% off.
I was actually sad after the Pascal arc. He didn't deserve that shit. I couldn't kill him either, but buying the fucking cores from him later as 9S was fucking heartbreaking.
I don't get people who feel bad for that forced shit.
Really wish there was a ng+ or some way to raise enemy levels. After a while you become so powerful enemies can't do shit to you and you can take them out in one hit, it kinda sucks.
You can actually lower your levels through the DLC but you gotta be pretty good at the game.
Speacially if you're grinding out for recourses to upgrade weapons and pods. Since you gain xp you end up being way too overleveled.
Give it to me and I tell you. My game tastes are awesome.
pirate it and find out
Alright I won't lie, I suck at action games, but I had a nice time getting ending A on normal. Got ending G soon after and now I'm trying to finish up side quests are 9S. I honestly don't like playing as 9S. I had a lot more fun with 2B's moveset. I really should've done the side quests as 2B. I had no idea I was going to be locked out of doing them later.
Why is smol toobs so so adorable?
v smol
I honestly can't tell which is better between this and P5
I don't remember the last time a game grabbed my heart and shook it so violently
hint: one of those games doesn't have shitty character design
Maybe I just got really fucking jaded within the last six years but I feel absolutely nothing while I play this unlike Nier which made me almost cry like a little girl at multiple points. It's a good game but there's just something that's missing from it I can't pinpoint that doesn't let me feel so attached to the characters.
Save yourself the trouble and just skip them if you get bored. So many of them follow the same formula that it just gets draining especially if you're stuck doing them as 9S.
holy fuck dude
smol toobert
Persona is not a game
Bought it during the sales. Played 31h of it.
It was a great experience, but probably not as excellent as some people around here may say.
The combat is smooth, but ultimately lacks a lot of depth. Combos are really simple and in small numbers.
The environment are vast and empty, and you spend a lot of time going back & forth in them. Some areas are cute, but you usually can't really explore those a lot.
The story is rather interesting. The characters are probably more interesting than the story itself, even if the gradual story mindfuck as you progress through NGs was a nice touch.
But her ass was phat, and we all know you'll just buy it for that.
his game
it is just an ohio
>mouth breather
You DID play his previous games right Sup Forums? Surely you didn't start with Automata like a filthy fucking waifufag degenerate secondary casual normalfag, right?
I don't really care if people start with Automata I'm just glad Taro is finally getting some wider recognition.
I still don't get why people have such a hard time with the intro. Dodging is super lenient and simple trial and error should get you through the SHMUP segment with no real health loss.
I played Nier Gestalt and it was a very underwhelming experience comparatively
youtube.com
The 30 minutes before and after this are really all you need to play to get anything meaningful that you didn't already get from Automata.
>he sells them for less than their resell value
>decide to cheese it and flip them
>feel like a massive piece of shit
I'm having the exact opposite experience. The first Nier nearly moved me to tears so many times meanwhile I'm 35 hours into Automata and haven't really felt anything besides interest in the plot. I think part of it has to do with the soundtrack, while Automata's is still great I have yet to hear anything as emotionally hitting as Ashes of Dreams, Dispossession, or Emil/Sacrifice.
Except all the good songs from Nier are already in Automata
I didn't hear anything memorable in Nier except the various mixes of Song of the Ancients. Most of it was just okay. Some of the music in Nier is downright awful (The Aerie, Lost Shrine) which Automata never makes you suffer through at least.
>beat first ending
>too lazy to beat the game again with 9s
>watch youtube videos for the rest of the endings
>still don't understand shit because the lore is from games that barely had anything to do with nier automata. Just some robots that have the same names.
I guess I expected their to be some ultimate bad guy and meaning in the ending, but it was just a too deep for you ending.
Kuwata tsunowo vralai
tsuriji pufuralekai
kwondzuvai undovartsu wronduwail
Tjortetei jeki liago
No, Automata's narrative is just presented in an entirely different way. The characterisation for the main characters is applied retroactively so you might feel something at the very end but if you really want that emotional hit you should probably replay A after getting E.
I don't consider Lost Shrine bad it was just placed in a really terrible section making it overstay its welcome very fast. If it were played like right before a boss fight it'd be perfect.
...
dat ass is worth more
I bought the game but I'm waiting my payment to be credited which takes about a day. Meanwhile I'm playing pirated but it's very annoying how often it crashes.
I'm really hoping when I download the legit on steam it won't crash near as often otherwise I might refund and just wait for when I buy a ps4 this christmas.
I played the first Nier but I never bothered with the Drakengard games, I heard the gameplay in the first two are a chore and the poor optimization in the third made it almost unplayable
>Except all the good songs from Nier are already in Automata
Automata doesn't have Temple of the Drifting Sands, Shadowlord, Hills of Radiant Winds, The Incomplete Stone, etc., both games have a lot of amazing music
The space ship part is not difficult it's just that the whole prologue is very long, has multiple boss encounters (even though it's kind of always the same saw thing/goliath) and people don't know how the game works yet. They don't know how forgiving dodge is or how it can be spammed so they might try dodging at the last milisecond thinking that's how it's supposed to be done and then miss. Or they might not know dodge can be spammed and then dodge once but then get hit right after because the saw is hovering on top of them, etc.
And then if you die you do the ship section again and have to listen to all that shit "requesting permission to breathe" kind of deal.

I think it would be really cool to see a Megamix of languages all over the world singing this song beyond the english/japanese/nu-french versions in the end of yorha mix, what with how important language is to Nier thematically.
I don't know about the sequels but the incredibly mundane gameplay actually benefits the first Drakengard pretty well in a hard to describe way. Like if it were any other game I'd toss it out the door but mindlessly slashing through slogs of guys without a thought trying to just kill them all as fast as possible actually ties in well with the main character and overall atmosphere. Dragon sections are actually pretty alright though.
Never crashed for me
>goes full speed collision course from space in a flight suit at a robot
>just shrugs off the landing force
9S I swear to god that was some bullshit
The 9S type is a high-end model
>ywn have smol toobs walking around your desk
I'm nearing the end of Route C, and I have to say, this is getting into some fucked up shit here
dumb android
I'd rather have a smoltoko sneakily trying to haul away my beers
>It is my GOTY
Mine too, user. Can't get wait for it to get robbed of even nominations come awards season.
what if she drank it
Why is there a hatch on the back of her pajamas?
For pooping.
That's precisely her goal
androids don't poop haha
For diaper changes
Can't you see the bulge underneath?
That's her butt
>Can't get wait for it to get robbed of even nominations come awards season.
i'm fucking hyped, can't wait.
I think it can hold on to Best Soundtrack if nothing else. Its only real competition is P5. And as good as Meguro's compositions are, none of them compare to the feeling that Weight of the World remix gives you as you finish Ending E.
Cause we're gonna shout it loud...
Her diaperbutt, yeah
