So is this game any good? It's 4 bucks right now.

Yes. it is best orc sleeper-cell sim.
If you like AssCreed/Batman, sure.
It's fun______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Mind explaining?
I got this the other day but I feel like the start needs some context. It's confusing as hell, have I missed something or is it a sequel to something I didn't play?
It's the worst time killer ever. Thereare loads of better 5$> games on sale like arkham city, arkham asylum, m&b warband, banished, saints row 3, Dishonored, stalker cop, borderlands
definitely worth the 4 bucks, not much more, dont buy it if you hate arkham combat or sandbox games, the ork mind control system is very fun but takes way to long to be introduced
If you're playing this even with a slight intereset for the story stop right now
You brainwash the orcs who are a part of an orc warchiefs bodyguard detail, and signal them to attack at the right moment aiding in your assassination attempt. You can help your secret minions climb the rungs of orc society in secret until all of the highest level orcs are yours... and then explode their brains for fun.
Really lots of neat stuff you can do, but i hope they add more in sequel.
Its ok.
If you like Arkham Combat theres some fun stuff there.
If you like Middle Earth and LotR it'll be hit and miss.
it's alright, has something like a 25 or 40 gig download though
All you need to know is it is Lord of the Rings and ranger-dude is in mordor, tasked with holding back the evil orcs and such. thats the basic premise.
That sounds fucking amazing. What the fuck why didn't I hear about this sooner?!
its worth 4 dollars. I can even run it at low settings on my shit laptop. It has a lot of collectibles. Found out after completing the istari and artifacts that they dont do jack shit though.
Combat isnt as bad as people say. You get a lot of combo powers but they require something like a 6-8 hit streak so you cant just endlessly spam them.
Im about 75% in and just got the brain washing power. The setting is ok but kind of annoying being attacked 24/7.
it's pretty old i think? there were articles on the strategy/ mind-control aspect of it on rockpapershotgun and other sites...
the best part is, it's kind of like Assassin's Creed except you actually get to plan and execute assassinations!
There's also a great camera mode where you can freeze the action, change the view and add filters for best screen shot. i have tons of pics of me throwing assassination targets off ledges and cliffs.
Sad part is that happens in like last 30 minutes of game play. By that time you'll be so op you won't even need the other orcs.

These are all on a laptop, by the way.
Please looks are not a strong point of this game. There are like 5 unique places in the game and then it's just the same copy paste. Even then the game's ugly as fuck
i just finished it easily worth the 4 bucks, the story is fucking shit and is just there to give you new abilities to play with but the game is very fun as you make your own orc army by branding generals and making them do your bidding
Most fun I had in this game was when I ran into this guy and decided to make him warchief. And then I branded every captain and made them all his subordinates. Every now and then I'd lure him out just to have the entire orc army attack him for shits and giggles.
My standards are low since my desktop broke.
That sounds incredible.. is it necessary to use this feature or could you go through the whole game without it?
you HAVE to use it for like 1 mission other than that its completely optional
Biggest down side to this game is it's too easy. Bamham combat's too easy. AssCreed stealth and exploration's too easy. And then you start getting runes and skills that make things even easier. Even with the Trials mode the biggest challenge is farming points instead of completing the tasks. There's fun to be had, but you might get bored from the lack of challenge.
some of the story missions, especially toward the end require you to brainwash certain high-ranking orcs in order to progress. Outside of that, it's a very freeform game. As much fucking around between missions as you want.
Gets boring eventually but only after you have murdered a million zillion orcs.
On the second half of the game you need to brand all the warchiefs for the story, but after that you can get rid of them and let new captains replace them.
