I'd say that weebshit is poorly written and soley relies on tropes that Otakus like. Persona is far better written than games like the Neptunia series and isn't completely trope filled.

When Sup Forumsirgins say weebshit, nowadays they mean any game with female characters that are attractive while being made from japan. True weebshit is stuff like Neptunia, Senran, Atelier, basically games that have absolutely 0 redeeming factors other than cute girls. I don't consider myself a weeb or ironic weeb and pretty much exclusively watch surface level stuff, and I loved Nier and Persona. Just because the only thing the cancerous Sup Forums fanbase talks about are the girls doesn't mean that's all the games are.

I know a lot of people consider Senran Kagura and Neptunia weebshit, but I still enjoy them a lot. People seem to think that they are completely irredeemable, but the gameplay is fun and some of the writing is funny (though it can be quite hit/miss for me).

The weeb games I own are all music and rhyme games except for the one dating sim. I'm not particularly fond of Japanese music but the one thing the Japanese do right is that genre of games.

Weebshit are games that have no substance but get by through pandering. They have mediocre gameplay, mediocre stories, and are overall bland crap that only get's praised for the otaku pandering. For example persona actually has good combat, an interesting story, and a fantastic OST, so it's elevated from weebshit as just a Japanese game. However games like Neptunia or Senrnan Kagura exist basically because of the girls and nothing else. Their gameplay is shit, they look awful, and are overall low quality trash. The only reason they sell is the girls, and it is therefore weebsite
