Vegeta isn't "Super Vegeta", he's just Vegeta.

Perfect Cell is just "Cell", Final Form Frieza is just "Frieza", etc.

Characters are only going to have one incarnation.

It's like it was an early beta or something.

I think that's the most probable set for a 20 character roster. Videl is a very possible addition if they want another girl, and if they decide to go with GT then they'll probably add Omega Shenron and one of the SSJ4s (Probably Gogeta). All the SSJBs will most likely be pallette swaps imo.

If they're adding Super characters, I could totally see Future Mai as a gun-based fighter.

I don't know why people keep saying this. It is called Dragon Ball Fighter Z, it's right there in the title. Adding Super characters gives away more legal rights since a lot of those characters are Toei's property. By sticking with Z, they only have to deal with Toriyama and Sheshuia, the owners of Shonen Jump.

18 Fighters planned, expect the core canon DB characters. No Broly, no Garlic Jr. Only core, canon characters. Chichi and Mai are more likely to be in it now.

You could make the argument that Mystic Gohan is very different to teen Gohan though, both moveset wise (less so) and physically (more so). They won't even be able to share the same model. Whereas with Goku/Vegeta etc that's not really the case.

Golden Fighter Gohan would be great, and would actually distinguish himself from Goku or Piccolo. I'm surprised that didn't end up being his fighting outfit.

I think Majin Vegeta is going to be in. It's become clear that almost every animation in the game is pulled from the manga or anime, and all of Vegeta's animations are from Cell and earlier.

Making "Super Vegeta" the standard version makes "Majin Vegeta" kinda redundant.
