It's literally the same game >It's literally the same game It's literally the same game >It's literally the same game It's literally the same game >It's literally the same game It's literally the same game >It's literally the same game It's literally the same game >It's literally the same game
But that's okay because it'll still sell like hotcakes as the normies eat up activision fresh steaming hot turd
Caleb Butler
>it'll still sell like hotcakes pretty much this, you better just ignore it and move on. Its useless to get pissed at something you cant fight
Samuel Richardson
Should it have become a puzzle game user?
Christopher Myers
Well no fucking shit, obviously its going to be most of the same, its expanding upon the established world of the first one you absolute retard. What did you expect? A 2D top down shooter?
Nathan Reed
>Hur dur a fps is still a fps in a sequel Man I wanted a fucking rts from destiny 2 fuck.
Charles Jones
>not a card game
DESTINY IS FUCKING RUINED REEEEE
Ayden Reyes
I'm a pc fag so this is literally ok because I get to play it in 1440p and console fags have to pay console tax and spend their money twice.
feels fucking good man, literally perfect
Leo Hill
Are you so fucking thick that you can't understand what OP means? It's obvious that he means the game has had so little in terms of change and is still being sold as a brand new game at a full price. Its just become another cod cash grab and has little to no innovation whatsoever.
Fucking tards I swear
Jeremiah Miller
At least I'll be able to pirate it this time.
>mfw they fucking changed a characters voice from an actual actor who sounded interesting to some voice actor who sounded like a fucking cartoon character when I was halfway through it
Fucking cancer.
Dylan Ortiz
EVERY GAME IS EXACTLY THE SAME
Aiden Powell
Of course. Not to mention now that it's on the blizzard launcher the retarded tasteless casual cancer that are blizzdrones will defend it to the death as well.
Mason Diaz
It's always online on Blizzard, don't think pirating it is a possibility
>mfw they changed it from a monotone Dinklage to an actual voice actor
Grayson Cook
I'm still upset that I believed the lies that Bungie spewed regarding how this game would change the FPS genre. I hope this one flops, despite how it might not.
Wyatt Reed
I didnt play the first one so I don't really care if it's just like the first one.
Jonathan Scott
>A sequel is like it's original game! >Things changed but not enough! >MM and OoT are THE SAME GAME
Kayden Roberts
Good, Destiny is fun
Elijah Green
Plus the first game was never released on PC, so meh
Josiah Mitchell
>All these cumguzzlers defending the game
Please hurry up and drown from the enourmous amount of nuBungie and Activision diarrhea and cum cocktails you're downing. No one said it had to change genres you diaper stains, but when it's just Destiny 1.5 instead of Destiny 2, that's a big red flag. They even reduced the amount of players for PvP. Just for comparison so your peanutdick brains can comprehend >Halo CE to 2 >Dual wielding >well written characters and dialogue >nearly tripled covenant arsenal >new vehicles >playable elites >8v8 still kept and could now do so online >loads of new game modes and custom game settings
>Destiny to Destiny 2 >you can now only equip one elemental weapon >no new classes >no new subclasses >no new races >reduced multiplayer to 4v4 >no custom games >no split screen >grimoire cards removed for no reason >CG cutscenes with ebin quips for the capeshit audience
Connor Ortiz
>PvP
Who cares.
Grayson King
Is there anything new besides story shit? Is there even a new class?
Leo Perry
But it did. Now everyone knows that a subpar warframe clone can make a lot of money, so we'll be seeing a lot of them.
Why are you not happy, user?
Carter Jackson
>no new subclasses ?
Benjamin Gonzalez
user, Destiny didn't even have vehicles, why bother comparing sequels when Halo CE is still superior to it?
Parker Thompson
Fucking this, glad someone has their head screwed on properly. This thread is a clear case example of how summer is here and brimming with normies who will destroy the AAA market.
Jonathan Stewart
>lol who cares about 50% of the game Why even have it at all?
Oh yeah, and my favorite part I forgot to mention is you STILL HAVE TO PAY FOR SHITTY EXPANSIONS JUST LIKE THE FIRST GAME. Get ready for Dark Below and House of Wolves 2.0
Eli Nelson
They introduced new classes, characters, story, locations, weapons, mechanics, but it's still Destiny 1.5? You just want something to bitch about and nobody's having it, fuck off.
James Watson
Retarded OPs only draw in retards user. As I'm sure you're aware with the threads you've made.
Ryder Scott
I'm just aching to play some co-op shooter with my buddies. we all have pcs so i'ts gonna be new for us. I only hope the gunplay is decent
James Flores
>subpar warframe clone Wait, they managed to be more incompetent and jewish than DE ?
Jordan Price
>'No New Subclasses'
Yaknow except the 3 they've shown per class but okay
>'No new races'
Who cares?
>No Split Screen
Was never there before
>Reduced multiplayer to 4 v 4
Can and probably will be changed, just like how ToO was 3v3 elimination
Lincoln Russell
>lol who cares about 50% of the game
That "50%", is garbage anyway user. If they completely excise that tumour, nothing of value will have been lost.
Lincoln Mitchell
It did user, now every online game is a grindfest
Chase Gutierrez
Same here.
Dylan Green
They just changed the fire warlock because rezzing was too OP.
You also have less customization options with your subclasses, you just choose between two pre-set kits instead of tweaking every detail like in the first game
Jaxson Flores
1 per class my bad, still makes your point entirely void
Owen Ross
Not really.
Eli Lewis
they replaced dinky because he didnt want to do any more voice work
Eli Morales
Nah, you can blame CoD4 for that.
Colton Murphy
>Sup Forums is ok when darksouls does this
Jaxon Evans
Seemed like he didn't want to do any voice work to begin with. Guy was dreadful.
Lucas Peterson
Replacing a subclass does not count as a new class you retard. It's still just 3 subclasses.
Juan Cox
>Guy was dreadful
And yet he was still better than the faggot that they replaced him with.
I guess subtle emotional queues are too much for Sup Forums's autism to comprehend.
Easton Lewis
Fans pretty much want more of the same. It's a social/casual game with some elements that reward the hardcore fans. The main problem was at launch and the lack of endgame content. 2 years later it turned out to be pretty loaded and felt more than complete. I know it sounds stupid but trickling the raid content made sense, and at most they'd just include slightly more content at the front end in Destiny 2.
That said, I'm pretty sure 30-40 people on my friends list will get it and I had enough interest the first time around, so I'll get it. It's not exactly a shit game, just the PvP that's jank. In a sea of "competitive" multiplayer shooters it stands out by catering to the PvE aspect.
You don't have to hate every popular game, especially if you can have fun with it.
Jacob Edwards
I appreciate both, but the change was needed. I don't think you can blame the actor, but rather the director, in conjunction with the game's tone. The entire game had very little to no vocal character (subtle emotional cues or not), and having a directly lighthearted sidekick is a good way to fill the void.
Aaron Hall
>had very little to no vocal character
Fucking good.
Why the fuck do we need some shitty lighthearted wanker constantly talking in what is supposed to be a fucking space epic?
Not even Halo had one of these, and when it did, there was some nice dissonance between what it was describing and current events. Not a fucking actual cartoon character.
Austin James
Yes it is, by the content of the class a new subclass, just because they got rid of another one doesn't make it not new.
Tyler Perry
Ironic coming from the OP who probably bought Dark Souls 3 day on and loves series like Street Fighter and Neptunia.
Luis Sanchez
>space epic That would require a narrative that isn't a poorly thrown together hodgepodge of bad ideas shackled to terrible objective design.
Luis Morales
when is the OB?
also how fucked would I be without the DLC? It's very expensive on my country, and the version with pass it's almost double the price, so fuck that shit. I know it's one of those games that will feed my autismo massively, but I don't want to pay anything beyond the retail price of a regular AAA.
Zachary Morales
>"that wizard came from the moon" >'subtle emotional queues'
Jaxson Martinez
I loved Destiny 1, my only gripe was the boring launch and it not being on PC.
Oh look Destiny 2 fixed all that (shame about the PC delay though.)
Can't wait, gonna be a fuckin' blast when it's eventually out and raiding with friends on PC.
Isaiah Young
Halo 1 and Halo 2 were different :)
Gavin Carter
Yes it did, you had sparrows, and that heavy tank.
Easton Gutierrez
>a sequel expands on the original Wow who would've thought
Oliver Nelson
>a sequel is the same game with more content Explain how this is actually bad. Wasn't everyone's complaint with the original that the core gameplay was fun but it had no content? Should Destiny 2 have been a cart racer?
Christopher Roberts
That heavy tank barely moves user, it may as well have been a rock on the ground that you shot at.
>sparrows
It's just like a glorified sprint button. You really can't be serious, actually thinking that shit compares to even the stuff in halo CE.
Gavin Adams
>That would require a narrative that isn't a poorly thrown together hodgepodge of bad ideas
Of which dink was at least a small step in the right direction.
Thomas Evans
Destiny was a genuinely fun grind, the DLCs were pretty good but the fact it cost 20/30 a pop was classic shitty MMO business tactics.
Austin Gutierrez
It doesn't look interesting to me at all, but all my friends are hyped and want me to join them, so I'm probably going to end up getting it anyway.
Nicholas Nelson
>'small step'
Gavin Fisher
It's not bad just decent. Think of it like Warframe or Phantasy Star Online. It has great art design and nice music.
Robert Phillips
No it doesn't, in the end you still have slightly tweaked arc, void, and solar subclasses that give you even less customization because bungie thinks players are too retarded to work on their own builds.
A new subclass would be brininging in another element, like with TTK. I at least expected that much if there wasn't going to be a new class.
Nathan Green
>cod cash grab Even cod has a different setting, engine, and assets every release.
William Thompson
well it's a good thing activision paired up with sony to maximize their normie market. and don't forget they'll also buy cosmetic microtransactions that even further profit activisions jewish nature.
Isaac Rogers
>bungie thinks players are too retarded to work on their own builds. Have you seen the people that play destiny? Bungie is totally in the right on this one.
Juan Gomez
>with more content
You see, ideally, that's fine. But that isn't the case with Destiny 2. Its launching with even less content than vanilla Destiny, and you're gonna have to buy the DLC again if you want more content making it another 120+ dollar game that is only relevant for two years before they trick you yet AGAIN with Destiny 3.
Average consumers are retarded, more breaking news at 11.
Ryder Walker
Ditto.
Isaiah Davis
Yes it does. Self-res warlock and flame sword warlock are two different subclasses, just because they share elements and the first one isn't there doesn't make them the same
Do agree with you about the streamlining though, really seems like they're trying to capture a larger audience when the fanbase was only ever 'hardcore' fans
Brayden Cruz
Well yeah, I see all the posts defending Destiny 2 in this thread. Doesn't mean reducing options should ever be acceptable, this is beyond typical streamlining.
Jason Adams
They're catering to their audience.
Jack Adams
>Its launching with even less content than vanilla Destiny source
Hunter Sanders
>Warframe or Phantasy Star Online. Both games I enjoyed very much, but while those games had very interesting gameplay, Destiny just looks... slow.
Aaron Cooper
But II you aren't able to choose between subclasses of the same element it hardly counts. If they doubled the amount of subclasses by giving each element a new subclass that would be fine, but really all this is for is dumbing down the game for potential trials e-sports. It's also why pvp is reduced to 4 vs 4.
Camden Gutierrez
Sup Forums is gonna shit on this game and then come sucking its dick when it releases on PC. You did it with Xbox exclusives you'll do it with this.
Logan Scott
/dg/ isn't happy
Blake Allen
Destiny is slower but has more deliberate and meaningful gameplay. Warfame and PSO are both just kinda spammy and shallow.
I'm not saying it's amazing, just that it's enjoyable.
Joseph Robinson
Oh, you got my eyes rolling hard
Angel Watson
>a handful of autists >their audience They got the normies, user. They don't need anyone that browses a board for chinese basket weaving.
Charles Gomez
>defend against 3 waves of enemies the entire game >deliberate and meaningful gameplay Kek
Kevin Sanders
I'm talking about the actual encounter design, the bosses in particular.
I'd really like to see someone claim warframe or PSO play better than Destiny.
Carson Cooper
Raids maybe but strike bosses are trash tier.
Easton Myers
but dark souls is shit user
Jayden Johnson
Stop pretending you're not OP
Eli Cruz
I never played the first one so I don't care that said I'm not getting this until a year has passed because I've already seen how Jewish they are with DLC and expansions.
Jayden King
Nah, some of them are cool. The dark blade, the cabal Brothers, hell, that vanilla cabal collasus guy was conceptually samey but was still fun though replays due to spawns adding and having to deal with them and a boss that can NLOS you.
John Bennett
Can you really say with a straight face that PSO is shallow compared to destiny?
Jose Perez
Some of the Speaker's boss dialogue from the original build is somehow going to play during the refurbished city raid.
Evan Bennett
how is Destiny 2 going to fix a boring launch?
Liam Perry
Babymaker
Owen Thomas
So i recently got my age of triumph shirt.
Anyone have that image where the brain is like "should we release endorphins" and then the king of the brain was like "nah fuck that faggot"
Because thats how i feel.
Joshua Moore
Since this thread is clearly filled with Sup Forumsirgins of the highest taste and class what are some games that "normies" should be playing? Surely all you great minds think alike and can come to a conclusion.
I swear to god the only people who complain about normies are faggots who can't make any real friends. Just because your life is a pit of despair doesn't mean your opinion is more valid
Gabriel Howard
Destiny 2. You'd realize the answer to your question was obvious if you weren't retarded.
Julian Thomas
F*ggot
Ryan James
can someone objective explain to me what's so good about destiny 2?
it's not open world right? it's just a hub with instanced missions?
because I've heard people say it's just WoW with guns, but that doesn't sound right.
Aiden Gonzalez
honestly cant believe i bought the dlc for the first one. thinking about just selling this garbage and advanced warfare since i'm just going to go full singleplayer mode at this point
Brandon Bennett
Yeah that's what I want you fucking idiot retard. Why change shit just for the sake of changing it when plenty of people like it the way it is?
Anthony Richardson
>paying full price for exactly the same thing >THAT'S WHAT I WANT the destiny fanbase, ladies and gentlemen.
Jeremiah Perez
Anybody can clearly see it's not exactly the same thing. It's more content in the same style (Even though it's clear they're improving tons of things, but I won't get into that). Use your brain.
Charles Williams
t. shill
Lincoln Turner
Dark Blade was the TTK full darkness area right? Conceptually good, but you still had radar and looking at enemies showed health bars. So they didn't go all the way with the concept. Shield Brothers, again, conceptually a good design. Execution was pretty bad, letting them come out then go back before both coming out just lets you burst one down so fast it doesn't matter.
My biggest complain of Destiny 1, that still looks the same for Destiny 2, is fucking engrams. I don't want every strike boss to just drop blue and purple engrams, TTK started but didn't go all out with unique gear.
