I'm a PC gamer mainly, but PS4 tbhwtf. PC is alright, but it still has issues and crashes. PS4 runs perfectly. You'd want to play it with a gamepad on PC anyways, so PS4 is just objectively better in this case IMO.

its a hit or miss. I never had issues (probably because I preemptively ran F.A.R and NieRepacker just to be safe). My friends didn't do any of that and has no issues but everyone else and their mother seems to have issues to its up to you. Either way you need a controller

The cracked one runs worse than the one I bought from steam actually, so much for denuvo affecting performance I guess.

Remember to install FAR and you'll be alright.

Go PS4. Framerate can be a bit choppy at times but it's overall more stable than PC unless you have a beefy rig and the right fixes for the game

Finished all endings with keyboard + mouse. It was pretty nice.

60fps here. Reduce the light detail through FAR mod, and you will get plenity of frames per second. There's no noticeable quality loss.

Maxed out with i5 2500k and gtx 1070

Even my old hd 6950 could handle it with some lowered settings

Limit your core affinity so you aren't using virtual cores/hyperthreading. That pretty much fixed my crashes.

Its playable on PC, but you should download the mod "FAR" to get the most out of it.

Ignore this user, it drops frames regularly on a regular PS4 and it's only 900p without AA.

Picked this up during the steam sale. Aside from some occasional minor lag during cutscenes, didn't have any problems. Controller is a must though.

Did you try any of the widely available solutions for the crashing? Did you try lowing Global Illumination? What "other bugs" do you mean?

Have had no issues on my 1070/6700 and no crashes just needed borderless gaming to fix the resolution but you should be using FAR anyway which can greatly improve performance.

Be aware that neither console holds 60FPS. Base PS4 is 900p, PS4 Pro is 1080p and both have issues with performance dropping into the 40's.

the ONLY issues i had were the mod acting up (has has a metal gear solid sound when it fucks up) the game itself ran fine and never crashed.

FAR is kinda shitty and bloated. He should have just made it an ini type thing and only really affect important changes like GI, AO, Bloom, and resolution instead of packaging it with his specialK™ shit. Also I noticed that the texture caching setting, that is enabled by default, actually increases stutter and really doesn't affect my VRAM all the much anyway.

Upgrade your PC and/or download FAR. A 970 without FAR gets 45-60fps when AO is turned on. (AO comes with its own AA in this) at 1080p. Does better with it turned off.

Almost none beyond the fullscreen problem. Fullscreen is fixed using either FAR once again or Borderless Gaming.

How should I play this game? Some people told me min-maxing your character and weapons is not how you should play? Also, I'm on route A and started to do some side quests for levels.

Find a weapon with a moveset you like
Make multiple plug-in chip loadouts for different scenarios (freerunning, boss fighting, regular, etc.)
Don't try farming enemies for exp
make money by selling things that you dont need
save your machine cores though, they get more expensive later on

The shit like his implementation of the frame limiter, the memory management, "steam enhancements", the hud options, extra camera options and the texture caching. Not to mention the shitty OSD which it tries to push on you because the software breaks if you try to use anything else. I'm not saying these might not be useful for some people but are pretty unnecessary for 90% of the users and I don't trust that they aren't poorly implemented as I said before the texture caching option actually increases stutter and framedrops.

I only had it crashing a few times turning off some of my cpu cores and inserting the patch fix. And these crashes was when i had the game tabbed while doing other things.

Just use that, fixes the fullscreen but doesn't have Kaldaien's bs in it.

There are no worthwhile mods yet, namely ones that change 9S garbage combat.

Or alternatively play in windowed and use borderless gaming to make it full screen.

It's runs perfectly, except for when it crashes for no reason. It doesn't happen super often, but you should save a lot.

9S is strong as fuck though, and he saves her much more than she saves him. The only reason A2 is able to go toe to toe with him is their gap in experience.

It's a weird problem. In very general terms, when an application is fullscreen you have complete controle of the graphic stack, while in a borderless fullscreen window it's still a window and the OS + graphic drivers can do their magic to make everything better.

I only got a handful of crashes during 90 hours of playtime and I didn't lose anything to the crashes anyway.
