I don't think there's a single approved 'tuber, i personally enjoy them all in some capacity except maybe matthewmathosis, the way he was so smug ignoring hbomb's DS2 video made me lose some respect for him.
I mean it's not like that video made me think DS2 is a masterpiece but now i see how it tried to distance itself from the first game and failed horribly
I still find it my least favourite game in the series but i found a speck of worth in it i couldn't before.

James has been garbage for a long time. Ultimately he makes videos for himself (which is fine) but there's a big disconnect between what he wants to do with AVGN and what people want from AVGN, the movie being the biggest example of this.

the only reason the classic episodes were so good were because he was genuinely reflecting on games he actually played as a child and a lot of the frustration was real for him, but nowadays he just kinda has to come up with shit from scratch and the anger/comments are so forced it hurts

I think anybody here should check out Errant Signal if you havent already. He really gets into the things he talks about, and while alot of it is sort of abstract and philosophical it makes for interesting thoughts nonetheless.

The only youtubers approved shpuld be people who upload videos showing off skill or people kind enough to make guides and actually give back to the community at large. With runner ups being people who do actual machinima. It s really sad that excell at games are ultimately overshadowed by wacky faces, friend simulators, and pseudo intellectual videos by people who are probably as competant at games as ign reviewers.
