Ok, sorry for my harsh tone, user. Now that I know that this is not bait, let's have a discussion, alright?
Most westeners, me included, have no idea how the japanese culture works. We see animes, games and mangas and think "Wow it's so cool".
But Yakuza is by no means a realistic portrait of japanese culture and it knows that. It's self aware enough to know that, for example, there is no possible way a man in underwear will not be noticed by people. It knows that it's not an accurate representation of japanese society and it doesn't try to be. That's why it's so engaging to see realism transitioning into absurdism in a matter of moments.
The gameplay may not be to everyone's liking, but it should be at least appreciated for the reason above.

So what exactly do these games play like? I never see anyone talk about the gameplay, ever. They are on sale now but this keeps me weary. I actually had 2 of these games on PS+ but i never got around to even try them before i let the subscription run out.

I was really disappointed that 0 didn't have any "dungeons" because that's where the combat always stands out. The combat isn't particularly good because it plays like a brawler but you only fight a handful of dudes at one time. And honestly the Yakuza formula has never been that good, but this game gives you a lot of things to mitigate the shitty parts like the sneak shoes and being able to see enemies on the map.
