Reaplaying this for the first time in 10 years or so, anything I should be doing or keeping an eye out for? Just got the second star and are about to make my way to the ghost forest. Threw most of my level ups into badges and flower power so I'm kind of a glass cannon but I'm enjoying it. Which partners did you guys upgrade first? I've already got everyone but the blue turtle upgraded and have even discovered a spot to upgrade him but I figure I'll hold off until I get the ghost or the electric guy.

Paper Mario general if nothing else.

I always used my nigga Parakarry. Never let me down

the spark thingy was the best party member, level him up before the others

Just play through the game and enjoy it. It's a pretty casual RPG and I don't recall ever having to grind as long as you don't skip every single battle.

For more of a challenge, I would recommend using any other character besides Watt since damn near EVERYONE uses him by the end game and final boss. I thought I was clever using him when I played but nope.

I just finished Color Splash 100% and I really enjoyed that. Am planning through Super Paper Mario sometime in the future but want to give it some time.

So far the bomb and goomba are raising hell for me, was only able to get through the desert by spamming her explode attack that hits everyone on the ground. Apparently the goombas charge stacks so that's gonna be useful for the next boss, might even try taking down the dojo master.

>I just finished Color Splash 100% and I really enjoyed that
Same. It may have done some things wrong but things like the levels, dialogue, and music made it a good experience overall for me

her

Only do this if you're a faggot that wants to play on babby mode.

Goombario's Charge stack is essentially the easiest way to win any fight. Any fight giving you trouble? Just stall for a few turns while charging, then Headbonk/Multibonk and win.

Doing my annual run right now actually, imposed a few stipulations on myself to make it interesting
>no females in battle, we dem boys
>max BP first, can't buff HP/FP past 20 until this is done
>use unconventional badges like Double Dip and Super Charge
Just beat this fat fucker last night without Sleeping him, Kooper and I just smacked the everloving fuck out of him.

The entire game can be beat easily no matter your set up

Yeah, if you get the badge to do the same on Mario and are good at timing, using both of them is a viable strat to winning. (Well, as long as it's not a spikey or rock enemy.)

I'm glad I got a real response and not somebody trolling me for playing CS.
I enjoyed the game well enough to see myself playing through it again sometime in the future but not upgrading my paint or unnecessary Thing cards.

What is the best village and why is it Shiver City?

>Kent C. Koopa
>Can't See Koopa
>he's wearing thick glasses

people giving you shit for playing CS aren't trolling, it's a bad game

>Using Lady Bow
How's it feel to have top-tier taste?

The Yoshi village is better. Chapter 5 is top tier

It's so comfy, especially since I always replay this and TTYD around christmas.

I actually don't care for Yoshi village, finding the kids is never fun imo, Kolorado and the rest of it is pretty fun though.
I personally like chapter 4, I like fighting the army of shy guys and specialists

BUMP

>uses life shroom on thread

>really like Bow
>gets shat on by anything with defense
>only useful move is outta sight
It's a good thing the game is piss easy, some of the balance is comical.

They're more bitter than trolling. There's loads of parts of CS that are better than PM64 and TTYD.

Parakarry and Watt are the best partners, unless you master Goombario's timing. Watt is especially good at endgame, where defense is common.
Bow is the patrician's choice, though she sucks on anything with a defense score.
Lakiluster is terribad, Sushi's not great unless you have insane reflexes for Tidal Wave, Kooper is okay, Goombario's good and can make more use out of a block than anyone else, and bombette is great.

Goompa is the hardmode partner.
